I am SO cooking this....

So, she's on my reader roll. Though, I pop in rarely.  But, THIS?  This I am going to make.  This I am doing for Turkey day with Daddy and the boys.  DH will forever request them again.  The kids?  Phewp.  They can eat them the old fashioned "Salt Pork" way.
But, we adults?  Will splurge.  Oh, and the elegance.  MMMM, I can smell them now.
Go here:   My Mouth is Watering.... No, it really is.
Now I sent you to bed all hungry....  :-D

It's the country green beans, right?

Aren't green beans meant to be freshly snapped and steamed until bright and crisp?

I am so NOT Southern. (But please pass the biscuits and sausage gravy!)

kc, it's the fresh green beans you can buy in the produce department. ;-) Though, there are brands that sell flash frozen "fresh" that would probably work just as well. And, are easier to keep on hand.

LOL, isn't all that healthy freshness negated by the wonders of bacon?
Not that I'm against bacon...I even posted about it on Saturday! (Sorry, Gary)

Those look very yummy. But looks beyond my cooking skills, or just more work than I want to do. *giggle* Let us know how they turn out.

Mmmmmmm tasty looking!

Thought I'd pop in and let you know the writing challenge that REH originally started is in its third month at my place. If you're ever interested in participating, would love to have a story from you.

Take care.

Everything goes better with bacon. My mom sautes her green beans in bacon grease. Can you guess where she's from? :-)

Every year on Christmas Eve I help my mom make a dish I think you would like. Just half a bunch of jalapeno peppers, put a dab of cream cheese in each half and then wrap each piece with bacon. Put them in the over until crispy. Delicious!

Oh forgot to mention, I got my Dunkin Donuts coffee sample yesterday -- pouch to make 4 cups.
