I'm An Addict!

So, y'all know my new found passion.  Well, not new found, but re-awakened.  It's taking over, but I can't help it.  I love it and am enthralled at my overflowing inbox, full of information, contacts and people who want to share resources and research for the articles I'm working on.
I know.  I'm an obsessive-compulsive person.  And, when I hit something I become fully immersed.  But, I stick with it.  Like blogging.  I found it, well, my BB introduced me and I was immediately fascinated, and I haven't turned off the computer since.
DH took the kids to school today so that I might have an extra fifteen minutes to paint myself into a masterpiece and doodle my hair into it -- since, he woke me at 6:35 this morning (an hour later than I need to be up). YIKES!
My next chore is to tackle the mountains, yes "s" plural, in the bedroom prior to exiting into the world and expending fuel half way across South Texas and back.  And, where am I?
Holed up in the computer room, printing and reading emails, sorting information, with my mind running 125 paces ahead of my fingers -- causing them to trip over themselves across the keyboard at times!  I'm half dressed, a half mess, though my teeth have been brushed. Addiction!
My excuse for coming in the computer room in the first place was so I could print the volunteer and donation letter for the school fall fund-raising project.  My excuse.  I knew while it was printing (a mere five to ten seconds -- this printer rocks!) that I would fall into cyber-space again.
I'm totally, happily and healthily addicted and I am totally loving it!  My brain is re-woken!  I forgot how much I *heart* my brain.  It is so exciting.  I'm excited when I wake up and excited when I hit the bed (no wonder the insomnia is coming back).
Okay, time to pry myself away and plug Macxine in so she can travel with me at full battery.  I don't plan to have time or be anywhere with free wireless access -- though, I don't always need it for mapping out my information on hand.  But, I have to take her with me.  I need the feed.
I hope you feel happily passionate about something or someone today!
I hope you find excitement in something today!
Find a healthy addiction, it's great and grand!
Happy Hump-Diggity!

"I *heart* my brain."

You, my friend, have a wonderful way with words today!

Now I have to go accomplish "real life!"

The thing that is obvious to me is that although you are a good mom and good with keeping the house and all, you really are quick and smart, and it seems like writing and research are ideal for a curious mind like yours.
:)
Maybe you should visit your editor at Root and Sprout some day. :)

Oh, how I feel I've found a bosom buddy in you! You completely understand how I feel on a daily basis . . . how I *fly* just to keep on top of everything, but how I love it all at the same time. I can't do without R&S - it's my lifeline to the outside world, and it actually MATTERS to people (that's what I'm in awe about).

Just don't let it overwhelm you, or you might find yourself locked away in your bathroom hyperventilating and blubbering like an idiot. Or maybe that's just me. HA!

Happy Hump-Diggity to you too. I get that way when I process pictures I have taken, I can get lost for hours and end up with a sore back or stiff legs.

I hope you can find a hot spot so you can check in.

I read your m ost recent article on R&S, and was *most* impressed (and remember, I was a newspaper editor for 10+ years).

The level of research, quotes, etc., was most impressive for an online article (which are usually bereft of any supporting quotes or research).

Been meaning to tell you that for days. Congratulations again.

Y'all are all so awesome! Thanks for reading and for "commenting" and feeding my "ego poof."

I'm making the rounds, y'all know, as you see me -- sometimes loudly, sometimes stealthily...

Happy Everyday!
