Ever have that feeling????

Yeah,  I have that feeling today.  It's kind of like feeling really anxious, almost to the point that you feel stressed -- that almost worried about something stress -- but it's a good thing.  It's a good anxiety.  I don't know what it is yet though.  But....
I just feel something coming.  I was watching the Today Show this morning while dressing and painting my face into a new masterpiece and there were two "expert analysts" discussing the stock market.
One was an obvious Pessimist and the other was an obvious Optimist.  BOTH said exactly the same thing about all of it only one spun it down and one spun it up.  And, I felt informed but enlightened.
DOOM and GLOOM?  No Thank you.  People who preach that and bombard us with it ALL.DAY.LONG make us think the world is coming to an end.   Just because they all run scared crying wolf, doesn't mean the wolf is coming.  It might actually be a sheep -- in wolves clothing. Remember in the end, Chicken Little was worried about an apple.  Maybe it was the knot on his head that scrambled his thinking.
I mean, apples fall from the sky all the time.  So does bird poo, and while it's not the nicest thing to have happen to you, it's also not the end of the world.
Some say it comes like a whisper.  Well, the optimistic analyst on the news this morning made me smile.  She knew the facts.  She didn't sugar coat it.  Just looked at the glass from the bottom side up.
Then, I was checking out the PR on twitter for promoting Root & Sprout and Grow Together's community and I heard it louder!
I received a tweet from a tweeter like me.  He was sharing that today is Happy Day.  This is what he tweeted back to me:
@Glass_Half_Full we can help with that, just ask and the universe will deliver, promise #BHappy
Now, if that isn't speaking my language?  Am I right?
So.  I can feel it.  I'm not sure what it is, but it's good.  Something is coming.  Today, maybe?  I just feel it...inside me.  Y'all all know I believe that putting it out there with a positive spin allows it to boomerang back to you with increased positivity and inertia.
I can't wait.  I even sorted the socks!  Yes, Ma'am and Yes Sir!  I want to be ready.  And, I don't want the socks to get in my way.
I hope you have that feeling today. ;-)

Some people would call the negative analyst a "realist."

Back before the big financial meltdown there was a dude on Fox News named Peter Schiff who was constantly saying that things were heading off a cliff. Dude was such a downer! Everyone else on those shows kept laughing at him and telling him how wrong he was calling him "crazy" and whatever. But, you know know what? He was right!

And all those people who were wrong about everything are still there. People like Ben Stein, who said we should be buying Meryl Lynch stock at $76 a share (it went all the way to zero) and others who said the Dow was heading for 16,000 (it's below 7,000 now) are still on those shows giving more bad advice out every week.

I'm not saying there aren't opportunities out there, and that everything looks horrible for the rest of eternity. (Although I'm not sure I don't believe that myself.) I'm just saying that when it comes to investing money, a healthy does of negativism can pay off sometimes. ;-)

"I even sorted the socks." Oh, you crack me up! I love it!

You know what I'm loving? I'm loving that the stats have been holding steady for three days in a row. And if they keep going like they are, we'll have the best month ever for Root & Sprout! And I owe a lot of that to you and your tireless efforts to promote the site. THANK YOU!

We need to be reminded of the good in these uncertain times! Whenever I go to Ikea and see the hundreds of people there, I think it's not so bad ;)

jay a Realist is a Realist. FACTS: "This is how it is now." But, a Pessimist and an Optimist view the Reality differently.

IE: The glass holds a substance at half its total mass.

SO, is it half FULL or is it HALF empty. Both, says the realist.

An "ist sees it from the up or down side of life.

They were both realist. They both shared the facts the same. They discussed the facts. But, the way you serve the facts up makes a big difference.

Does one want to bring calm or cause panic? Which one gets bigger ratings?

Fear? Or leveled understanding?

That's MEDIA for you. :-) Remember, I'm not the political Gal - Which is why I love reading your blog on the politics!
