Happy Easter!

Lil'Gal awoke me at 5:20 this morning to announce, "It's Easter!" I replied, "No, not yet. It's not morning yet." I told her to go back to sleep but I am sure she played in her room, more anxiously than she did Thursday (school Easter party) when she woke me at 5:30. At 6:00a.m., Farmer, Jr. greeted me at my bed side to announce, "The Easter Bunny came!" To which, I again replied. "Go back to sleep, it's not quite morning."  He too, returned to his room and I think to his bed, but he wasn't sleeping.  As soon as the sun began to rise Lil'Gal was back to inform me that it was officially morning.
So, I sent her off to release her brother as I climbed out of bed a little before 7:00 a.m. to open the back door and let them revel in their treats. [We leave the baskets outside so the Easter Bunny can fill them. Only Santa and the Tooth Fairy have enough magic/permission to come inside. It's more believable for the kids too -- and we leave a plate of carrots and celery.] This morning started out dreary and drizzly. After mass (which was really nice, we had a guitar player/singer in the choir and it was beautiful), the sun started coming out. By lunch time the weather was absolutely gorgeous! And, still is! The kids had a blast as usual, hunting Easter Eggs at my MIL and FIL's. Here, see for yourself... Farmer, Jr. is chasing for eggs from behind; notice the yellow one he stops to grab.
Though, he's worried the girls might beat him to the rest (there were plenty, my MIL is great that way.)
My niece and nephew who live about a quarter mile down the road where hunting too and I have some great shots, but I'm not allowed to post them on my blog. :-(
We also like to use 'crackin' eggs' better known as confetti eggs.  The Easter Bunny Brought them this year!
Daddy was quite the good sport.  He always is! ;-D
Wait! What's this? Uh-Oh!  Apparently, the camera Mom Man isn't safe either.
"No-no, I'm not playing...I'm just the capturing the essence of the day..."
Okay.  I'll play too!
It's always fun to wear confetti  :-D
The unfortunately thing was that my Mom woke with bad sinuses and a terrible cough.  She tried to pull it off on the phone but after a few big hacks and gags I had to send her off to bed.  I know The Teenager was disappointed, but I told him we'd make it up to them.
They'll come out tomorrow if Mom isn't feeling worse or feverish or contagious.  You never know with allergies and sinuses down here.  But, the cough kinda' gave it away....
This one is my favorite.  It totally captures the day.
Way to be happy.  Way to be blessed.
Thank you Lord for this Easter Fest.
Happy Easter to you all....

Happy Easter to you, too!

Yeah, I had a cute pic I was going to use of SnakeMaster & his cousin having a sleepover, but I didn't have permission from the mom, so I didn't post it.

Oh those were great. Loved the recap. (And I cannot believe how flat Texas is!) My Easter was spent working! Everyone has the day off, so let's bug our Realtor. Ugh. Gonna try and have the ham dinner tonight -- yesterday was Mexican. Thanks for Cher-ing. :-)

I just love that you all can wear spring-y Easter clothes. Counting windchill, our temps were in the teens. I have bought new Easter clothes for my kids in years. Bah. I miss the frilly dresses I used to wear when I lived in Georgia . . .
