Howdy bloggies and peeps and tweeps!
Geeze oh whiz, have I not been runnin' my tush 90 mph around the laps today?!? [Answer: YES] But, I got SO MUCH DONE! And, once again, I found myself adding to the list....criminy! Is May over yet?
Because I have a big, fat, excitingly slow (down side no internet what-so-ever) vacation come June 1st that offers a fabulous trip to float on a rubber tube down a dry and barely flowing Frio River [where I might get stuck on a rock] with no cares or whims and only food, beer, good friends and fun children in tow!
[Back up plan, should the river be a crap shoot and dry; we always have the pool behind our cabins and we are going during the week so it will be less crowded -- *wink* And, beer doesn't have to float in a chest; they make those things mobile with wheels too!]
Wait, what? Oh, the GiveAways. Yeah, that's the crapshoot about that one. Sometimes you gotta' read my ramble-bamble to get to it. ;-D Smart, how I work it that way, huh?
So, one is awesome for the Ladies..... But, not fair to leave the gentlemen out. So, y'all get the 'catch the freebie' give away item.

How do you win? Hmmm. Easy-Peasy! Comment!
Be sure to specify which GiveAway you are interested. And, YES, if both. You have to do one or each of the following per GiveAway item you wanna' win! Hey! Double GiveAways means twice the work on entries; or, you can pick one and work it the easy way!

Howdy All, Just a quick blip about a book I reviewed. Since the book, Dudley's Solo, is a children's book I chose to post the review at my Grow Together page (the parenting network/social site for Root & Sprout!)
Here is the link for the review: Farmer'sWife a/k/a Glass_Half_Full's page!
(FYI, as of May 1st Root & Sprout will be a daily publication!!! Sweeeeeet!)
Thank ya! I have another review which I will post here for a beautiful book written by Karen Nowicki, a fellow TEAM Writer for
. The book is Maddy Moonbeam's Garden! A story of love and acceptance. This one is also a GIVEAWAY!!! But, I'm saving it for next week. I'll probably let it run about two weeks also because I really want to bring attention to this fabulous little children's book.
Tonight, I'll post this week's "Double" Give Away!
Happy Tuesday! I *heart* ya all, y'all!
I heard an excerpt of this song this morning on the way to school with the kids and I thought, "Hey! I'm Unbelievable!" Today is Unbelievable! All that I've gotten done the past 36 hours is, well, Unbelievable! [All that is still left to do today is also -- wait for it -- Unbelievable!] So, the word of the day is: UNBELIEVABLE!!! Use it in a sentence. Use it in an exclamation! Look in the mirror, smile slyly at yourself and say, "You ARE Unbelievable!" [It works even better if you wink!] Just the way you enunciate the syllables of the word can completely change to expression it gives. You know what else is unbelievable? That coupon link below that will save you $1.50 on Yogurt. :-D Sunday I purchased a four pack of Fiber One Yogurt (Lil'Gal loves the Key Lime and she needs the extra fiber) for 8 cents! Yep, combined two $1.00 coupons -- UNBELIEVABLE!! Right? So, Unbelievable! This one is for Yoplus, which I personally like! Especially, when I combine this coupon with my newspaper clipping and get a four pack for pennies! $1.50 coupon I have another giveaway too! Actually, I have lots of Giveaway stuff but posting it one week at a time. This week will be a double giveaway -- I'll get it up. By this PM, I promise!! Geeze, no time to pop in all my places! Today is supposed to be my day for bloggin, visiting my peeps, and networking for Root & Sprout and all the upcoming changes there. FYI, does anyone know how to capture stats from feed subscribers? I'm still learning all this stuff and I know there are ways to automatically calculate all hits in any way, shape or click. So, please share! I'll be UNBELIEVABLy thankful! It's 9:40 already? UN-BELIEVABLE! OH!! Happy Tuesday! Make it Unbelievable! Pssst, that recipe is coming too!

HOWDY ALL! Soooooo sorry I'm just now gettin' around to this! Sheeze wiz, I've been clickity clicking the things off my list all day in complete efficiency yet it seems like every time I have a conversation I end up with a few more things on the list -- so be it in the Life of Farmer's Wife!!! [Workin' on a FULL Glass tonight! *Giggle*]
KID CONVERSATIONS: (On the way home from school)
Farmer, Jr., disgruntled: "Hey!? What's that smeeeelllll? "
Lil'Gal, Happily: "MY FEET!"
Farmer, Jr.: "Peeeyooooooo!"
Lil Gal: I took off my shoes!
Farmer, Jr.: "They stink!"
LilGal: "I know! I LUV my Stinkie Feet!!!"
At which point the windows roll down and Farmer, Jr. politely requests that I do not close them as he is hanging his head out the window while we drive through the gate to the house!
They were pretty stinkie....
So, were you as frustrated as I? Yep. I let Farmer, Jr. do the drawing because he doesn't get the chance too often. I opted for Macxine since her camera was more readily available and quicker to upload from. But, since I wasn't watching the screen I didn't realize that the camera had stopped. POOOO! He was so cute with his eyes closed real tight while he tossed the entries around in the container to pick the winner. He wanted to do the whole thing over again but I had to explain that we can't "fake" a drawing because we might draw someone different than who won the first time. Ya' can't mess with fated destiny ;-) And, the WINNER IS?????? [Drum roll pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PRO-HOMEMAKER!!!!! I think it was the fact that he visited Root & Sprout because that earned him 10 extra entries! Thanks so much to my regular visitors and the new peeps too who played and also for following me and/or reading me and adding my badge to your blog! Y'all are all so wonderful! I have some great stuff to put up for giveaways and the ice cream giveaway is still open as well -- I'll post soon! Oh, and the squeeee-dily-ishus dinner I made last night for a few nickels and a dime! I'll share that recipe for certain! CONGRATS AGAIN to ProHomaker! [Go check out HIS blog!] Happy Monday!

Tiaras, Boas, and Oooh-La-La!
From Glamour to Dapper, Lil'Gal lives in her own Fancy World! ;-)
She believes in all things Glamorous -- that's fancy for stylish and beautiful like a movie star! ;-)
Lil'Gal luuuuuuuuuvs Fancy Nancy. What Lil'Gal wouldn't? She's pondered through the pages of her many 'Fancy Nancy' books so often that the images are burned into her mind.
She's always the perfect "Hostess" of all the many tea parties she's invited me to in her room.
Recently it has become her mission and she has been busily working away daily to Accessorize (that's a Fancy word for decorate with extra stuff) her own room -- the Fancy Nancy Way!
I purchased a hot pink boa (with a coupon, of course) to drape atop one of the doorways of her room and it looks abolutely adorable -- excuse me -- Fancy! We also purchased a pink trash can and a Tiara shaped clock. But that wasn't fancy enough.
Her name is hung in wooden letters that I painted pretty and bright! They are strewn across her wall from bright white crowns painted with fields of pretty flowers. This was me too! ;-)
She loves them, but still something is lacking in the Fancy Department.
There is an adorable white shelf for the display of Fancy Things with old fashioned, glass knobs below -- to hang more pretty things. (I had hubby make this, he said it couldn't be done... never tell a Mama No). And, of course, here is the little white vanity we added a few months ago.
I thought all this would curb her appetite for a Fancy room. But, alas no. It's nice, it's Fancy, but not.... "Fancy enough," as she tends to say.
This morning I went to let her know it was time to leave for school. I found a home-made paper door knocker with the words "Do Not ENTER Lil'Gal's Rum." I giggled to myself. I found her in her closet with my tape dispenser and a bunch of empty cardboard paper towel rolls. "I'm recycling, Mama..." she says with a sweet smile and eyes sparkling happily like blue diamonds.
Do you know what she was trying to make for her not-quite-fancy enough room? A canopy bed! Yes at a month from six-years-old, she's creative enough to stuff empty paper towel rolls together and adhere with tape. [See Fancy Nancy had to improvise (another Fancy word) and used broom sticks for hers.] ;-D
So I made her a promise. After school today (and after their Friday after school ice cream cone at the little diner -- with free Wi-Fi!!!) we are all heading into town to hit the hobby store in search of more things Fancy!
I'll post some shots of what we bought and some 'After Fancifying' shots too! I'm thinking another boa is definitely on the list, some door hangers she can decorate with messages like, "No Boys Allowed," "Knock Before Entering," and of course, "A Princess Lives Here."
I'm also hoping to find something to suspend a noteboard or cork board of some type from the top of the door for her pictures and additional messages. Hubby won't let us adhere anything permanently to the outside of her door so that's what I've come up with so far.
Poor Farmer, Jr. He's going to be fuming at having to come along on this excursion (that's fancy for special trip) for Fancy. Hopefully, we can find him something "Zany" for himself! (That's fancy for very silly)
Happy FANCY Friday!

So, yesterday I tweeted to Baseball Mom I was making a casserole. And, she inquired as to what it was....and, I shared and added the fact that it's cheesy.
Baseball Mom said, they are all about the cheese at her house so I told her I'd share the recipe. :-) It's not really that cheesy; unless you make it that way.
This is another of my MIL's fabulous hand-me-down through generations recipes and as I do, make it your own. Have I mentioned that my MIL ROCKS? Maybe once, or so? :-E) [Does that look like a cheesy toothed happy grin? 'Cuz it's supposed to.]
Question: Ever giggle and sound like your Mother? I just did; it's weird every time.
The Recipe! Chicken & Spaghetti!
Ingredients: This is difficult since this recipe is written in cooking steps and not by ingredients but lets see if I can simplify it. What I do is base it all around how much 'cooked chicken' I have. Now, you can boil a small whole chicken or a package of split chicken or thighs and legs or breasts or whatever is your liking. And, you have to decide how meaty you want it.
Typically, if I bake chicken (usually quarters or split fryer) I bake a little extra over what I know we tend to eat in one meal. Then, I debone and save the rest to be chopped and used in a chicken casserole recipe later in the week.
With left over chicken I typically cook a 8 x 8 sized casserole dish. I'd probably use a full chicken or split chicken package if you have big eaters and wanna' make a 9 x 12 sized casserole.
Be sure if you boil the chicken you add some chopped onion, seasoning and a couple cubes of chicken boullion to the water.
Sautee' 1 finely chopped green bell pepper and about 1/2 a finely chopped onion in a couple pats of butter until cooked and tender. Add some 'Nature's Seasoning' and/or seasons of your preference (salt and pepper, garlic, etc.) while sautee'ing.
MIL says use 1 can of cream of Mushroom soup. "I" use 1 can of cream of Chicken soup.
Add the can of soup to a large pan; add chopped cooked chicken, add sautee'd vegetables. Warm them together and then add in some diced Velveeta -- enough to taste. You can add in place, American Cheese or a combination of both. Typically, about a 5th of a 1 lb block of velveeta. Again, make it your own. Melt and stir all the yumminess together. [sample] :-D
You might need to add a 1/4 cup of milk or a little more velveeta to make it a little creamier.
MIL adds 1 small can of chopped black olives; and, 1 small can of mushrooms (and 1 can of pimentos, but I leave these out).
Cook 1 small box or package of spaghetti.... Make it your own and cook as much or as little as you prefer in pasta. (MIL says to boil it in chicken broth. This works great if you boil it in the broth you boiled the chicken in.) Really.
Once all the chicken, soup, bell pepper, onion, butter, seasonings, etc. have been warmed together -- add the 'drained' cooked spaghetti. Mix it all together well. At this point, you'd better sample it again. Add what's needed. [Probably nothing, he-he]
Pour into a lined pyrex or casserole dish. (Easy Cleaning Tip: spray it with non-stick spray first).
Pour mixture into your 'non-stick sprayed' pyrex/casserole dish. Cover with grated American Cheese. [Cheddar works good, but American tends to melt into the wholesome soothing creamy casserole taste with this dish -- but, make it your own.]
MILs Mother's recipe originally calls for topping with slivered almonds but we all leave these out.
Bake at 350 until cheese has melted and until hot and bubbly. Serve to the family and expect them to ask for seconds! YUMMY!
Happy "It's 55 minutes away from Thursday now!"
So, recently I received an envelope in the mail and it had a couple of vouchers for Free Skinny Cow Ice Cream products from Dreyers. Though, not a super ice cream fan myself -- I have grown to love the Dreyers Slow Churn because it is lower in fat and sugar -- but the kids and hubby don't feel like they are taste deprived. Also, it always serves up like a 'soft serve' ice cream. Soft serve consistency and smoothness is a favorite within the Farmer*sWife household. We are also a big fan of the dibs. The Hubster loves the Nestle Crunch coated dibs and the kids love them because they are tiny, chocolate covered ice cream bites. I like them because it's a very small and the kids are happy with two for dessert! :-D We chose the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches (another family favorite) which come in a package of 6 for $3.99. One sandwich has: 120 calories and 2 grams of fat, while weighing in with 4 grams of fiber, 6% Vitamin A, 6% calcium and 2% iron. The round sandwiches are a full and fair sized serving. The ice cream is piled within the middle and is soft to the bite!
I mentioned to the Hubster that the kids gave this ice cream treat a Big Thumbs Up! He knows as well as I do that if there is somethin' funky about it -- the kids will be sure to alert us. So, upon hearing of their approval he immediately stated, "Where are those suckers 'cuz "I" wanna' try one." He too was very pleased. Said they were sweet and creamy!
FREE ICE CREAM!! So, I was allowed to Tweet a giveaway for this product and The Queen DM'd and won it lickity split! Then, she told me -- I won it so you could give some ice cream away at your place! Sweet!
So, to win:
- 1 entry) Comment about your favorite ice cream
- 2 entries) Put my badge on your blog! If you already have it, let me know and you still get credit.
- 2 entries) Send a friend to play! Let them know to tell me you referred them. ;-)
- 5 entries) Visit Root & Sprout and tell me what your favorite article is and/or comment to an article (let me know ya' did!)
- 5 entries) Join Grow Together, the networking social site for Root & Sprout -- where parents and kids grow together.
This GiveAway closes Friday, May 1st, 2009, at midnight! I will need a way to link back to your site or contact you should you win. I'll also announce it here at my blog! Then, I'll need your address to mail you the voucher for 'your choice' of the skinny cow product you wish to try.
If you want to visit the website for nutritional and other information click here: Skinny Cow Ice Cream. I know the proof is in the product! Take it from the kids!

I've started this challenge (I mentioned in a previous post) at ProBlogger: 31 Days to Building a Better Blog. Today's task/assignment is to write a list post. Seriously? A list post? Why, I love lists! I live my life according to the list! I'm am ALLLLLL about the list!
Thinking back on yesterday how I thought it started out a little on the blah side but then I pumped myself up and laughed it all away made me realize that I need to share how to do this. Everyone needs to build upon that talent within themselves to uplift their spirits. Who wouldn't want to know how to add a little pep and a little happy into their day, right?
So, I'm going to hit two birds with one stone. I'll accomplish my BBB task and list some things for you to do -- regardless of what you think about it -- with a guarantee that I bet you'll at least crack a smile. ;-) You trust me, right?
- Find a mirror. Look at yourself in it and say to yourself, "You ROCK!" (Just go with me on this, kay?)
- Compliment someone today -- it'll make them smile and I bet you'll smile too. It feels good. If they say something negative to the compliment be sure to remind them to "take a compliment."
- Dress for Success -- this is true. If you are a stay at home Mom or you are a member of the collective masses who work at home, dress for the day. If you are frumpy and disheveled you will feel less motivated. Ladies, if you don't typically where make-up slap a little mascara or lip gloss on. Just because. ;-)
- Walk by someone in the office and make a super silly face. Sounds idiotic, true. But, everyone will get a laugh or a smile or maybe a funny look but still.
- If you find something humorous, even slightly, try to laugh out loud about it. It's good for your body, circulation, and releases some happy chemicals in your brain.
- Indulge yourself -- every once in awhile we have to give ourselves a little treat. So, if you've been dieting? Give yourself a little something delectable. If you've been super saving -- splurge on a little something, make-up, aftershave, new socks. It doesn't have to be big it just has to be something.
- Do a Happy Dance! How come as children it was so fun to dance silly but as adults we find it childish and don't do it anymore. Ya' gotta' let go of the serious side now and then.
- Revel in the little things (that aren't always so little). Bills? Anger? Economy? Can you see to read this post? Sight is something we tend to take for granted; be thankful for it. The ability to be mobile, the ability to speak words, the ability to hear, the ability think....you get the idea.
- Zoom Out -- life is overwhelming today with work, chores, bills, events, deadlines, so zoom out from today. Picture next week and where you will be and the issues of day will be seven days behind you. I taught myself this in high school about three weeks before I graduated. With finals, and research papers and every thing that overwhelmed me I finally thought to myself "In three weeks this will all be over somehow and these things will all have been done and tended to somehow and I'll graduate."
- Be thankful, Truly.
So, it's Tuesday. Be silly. Have fun. Sometimes you have to do like I do and take the bad and tuck it away in a drawer for a while so you can give your brain a break. Focus on one thing at a time and twiddle it down to a reasonable size.
So wadda' ya' think? You up for it? It may take a little time, but do these things and do them often. It can't hurt and just might make you smile.
Happy Totally Tuesday!

Howdy Bloggies and Peeps!Oh, almost forgot! Here's the link to the Piney Woods Country Winery and Vineyards! Check out their Vine Juice! [You're welcome for the hook-up :-D]
It's Farmer's Wife report time again! Gosh, I didn't realize how long it's been since I did one of these, but I think I tended to do more during the slow, lovely, free-spirited days of summer.
Gosh, I can't wait for summer. I love structure and schedules but by the end of the school year I'm ready for some random late movie nights with the kids and some random mornings where we all sleep in (except the Hubster -- He still has a 7:am check-in at the office).
So, today I'm trying to catch up on all that is in my brain. This vlog covers Piss & Moan on a Monday morning -- but I got over it quickly -- blue collar comedy in my Mama mobile Chariot with XM radio kicked that negative crap out the door! No negativity, no Ma'am! I don't have time for that hunk of bull p!$$ stenched in cow manure.
Some things I share: Root & Sprout and some of what is behind the scenes, Crazy Female Driver, Liquid Creativity (yum-yum), Tribute to the Queen, Conversation with Daddy, FW curses -- on video!, and a lot of gigglin' at myself.
Hang tight. I do lose the seriousness.
Oh, and don't forget coming soon from ME to YOU is free ice cream!
Whoop! Tomorrow is Totally Tuesday!!! I think we need some music from the 80s...and maybe a music video by Mwaaaw and Lil'Gal to boot!

I've been on a mission of sorts. Well, life is a mission of it's own. And, I'm always on some mission about something.
But, I've been playing around in my blog again, changing some stuff up. Doing some new things. And, I'm just wondering what all of my blog readers -- the new ones AND the long time supporters -- think about my blog.
This is not one of my little comment begging posts
hey, it might work out for me though ;-), it's just a true assessment. I've been participating (okay, today was day one of a 31 one day project) in this little thing over at this guy named Darren Rowse at Pro Blogger because I want to develop my own place but also because I'm hoping that some of the tips and tricks I learn during this next month will fruition into great ideas to promote Root & Sprout as well as Grow Together.
Boy, that was a very long sentence. :-) Just read it as quickly as I speak and it'll sink in just fine. We are supposed to write an "elevator pitch" for our blog. And, the elevator pitch is supposed to come from the idea of what our blog is all about. I thought, who best to tell me what my blog is about than the people who read me! Right?
Anyhow, I'm a happy go lucky Gal. Y'all know that about me. Oh sure, I can be quite serious and have serious issues at hand and of mind, but when I'm visiting, socializing and blogging around -- that stuff doesn't enter into my equation.
[Don't you think that word should be spelled, equasion? Because their is no -tion in the word...it's definitely a -sion. Now, notion has a pronounced -tion in it. But, not equation. I'm just sayin' 'cuz it's got to be said.]
Quite often, posting a blog post alleviates a lot of the crap that tends to sometimes get stuck in the message tubes of my brain. I'm just happy in here. I'm happy by nature, but that's because I enjoy it.
Anyhow, now I've rambled all away from my point.
That being, what do you get out of my blog?
What do you miss -- like you could possibly miss anything 8-D -- from my blog that maybe I've strayed away from?
What could you use more of from my blog?
In this little challenge I'm supposed to really identify the purpose of my blog. My purpose is to make you happy, make you laugh, make your day have a little highlight around that cloud you might be carrying, and to share in your Hip-Hop-Happy witty ways by reading along about all of you too.
So, do tell. I can take it. The Good and the Bad (make it all good, though -- kay? You know my ego and all; I do better with "Poofs" than with "Pops"!
I look forward to it! And, when I come back? It's about BlueBerry Wine! And, it is luciously devine. :-) Sqeeeeee-diddle!!!

It's been awhile, but I'm feeling a little poetic today.
I give you:
A Farmer's Strangest Prayer
Rain, rain go away!
Stay away until Mid-May!
5 months of drought and you pick today?
Don't you understand?
Should a seed sprout and break through....
Then we are totally screwed.
For the crop will be crap and cost lots of money.
And, insurance won't help due to your drizzling funny.
So, take it elsewhere since you've abandoned us so long.
Why don't you fill the Frio? Get it flowing strong!
So come June we can sing a tune as our inner tube floats along....
Happy Friday! May our's be dry and your's be whatever you want!
Well, I thought Baseball Mom was a shoo-in to win this Giveaway because she had the most entries since she actually played the game several times along with commenting about it and such.
[BTW, Baseball Mom, thanks for puttin' my badge up at your place! You Rock!]
But, that's the thing about random drawings. It turns out, Lis WON!! Way to go Lis! It's about time you get a little something for Lil'ol You after all the hard work you've been putting in at Root & Sprout and Grow Together. So, congrats!!! Keep playing everyone. I'll keep bringing us fun things. I have some books for review too coming too via pony express. When parenting related I tend to post over at Grow Together: Farmer'sWife/Glass_Half_Full, but I'll leave a link over here too in case you are interested and/or there's a GiveAway with the review. I'm good to my peeps that way. ;-) Happy FWFD!!!!!!!
It's ME! Barbie!!! I'm 50 and I'm FAB!
In 1959, a new fashion doll appeared on Toys ‘R Us store shelves, creating a sensation and becoming an instant favorite among generations of little girls. Barbie just celebrated her 50th birthday and she is looking more fabulous than ever.
Barbie has come a long way in the past 50 years. Barbie left the her mansion to join the workforce. She's modeled, she's owned a pet shop, she owned a car dealership (that's where she got all her great jeeps, sportscars and her mini-van from).
I think she even sold MaryKay for awhile so she could earn a "Pink Cadi."
Barbie has been a busy Gal! She's become more than a just a childhood play toy. This Barbie is the 2009 replica of the original Barbie doll. The original Barbie was sold in 1959 for $3.00. Toys-R-Us had a limited promotion in March in which they offered these retro Barbie's for the original price -- $3.00. This was offered while supplies lasted.
They were also kind enough to provide a couple to Root & Sprout, Grow Together and ME to offer as GiveAways in honor of Barbie.
Whether you are a Barbie collector or know a little Barbie fan of your own, you don't want to miss this GiveAway! Thanks Toys'R'Us and Happy Birthday Barbie!
FYI, if you wish to purchase this Barbie she is still available for $12.99; the original collector Barbie from 1959 is also available for $49.99.
All you need to do to win is:
1 entry) tell me your favorite Barbie memory; GUYS this can include harassing your sister or your friends sister, LOL
1 entry) visit the Happy Birthday Barbie link and tell me which is your favorite
3 entries) add my button to your page, it's up on the top left hand side. :-)
5 entries) send a friend to participate (be sure they say you referred them)
10 ENTRIES) visit Root & Sprout and tell me your favorite article from April's issue. :-D
Please list each way you participate in a separate comment so I can be sure to calculate all entries correctly. Good luck and Happy Birthday Barbie!

It's time for me to announce the winner of the freebie Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse agent.....
Lil'Gal did the drawing when she arrived home from school today, but she expressed "no video."
What? No video? Lil'Gal? She humored me long enough to do the random drawing, but only because she made a deal that I would then go outside with her to watch as she rode her scooter/hoola'd her hoop/jumped with her rope/swang on the swing-set. :-) A Mama's job can be grand that way. :-D
[subliminal messaging: grab my button :-D]
So, the winner is @jenscloset a/k/a Jens Closet blog. She's got a great little Etsy site and just had her ONE year anniversary there on April first, if you can believe it. I like poppin' in and looking a the great little milk glass items and other dishes and and antique glass she lists over there. I know one day she'll post something there I just HAVE to have. Kinda' like Gary does. :-)
So, there you have it! A full day, huh? A badge, a GiveAway winner, what's next?
[subliminal messaging: grab my button and hang it on your blog wall :-D]
Oh, I know! The Fiber One Gift Set is still up for grabs until midnight tomorrow (Thursday, April 16th, 2009). So, be sure to pop in here to comment to win. There is a little tip on how to earn some extra chances. Just so you know -- The yogurt is yum and all FREE! The water bottle is awesome! In fact, the past week I have actually carried it with me through the day and had it at my bedside at night and hydrated myself -- and I can tell a difference in how I feel. No joke, I would not sell you snake oil. The pedometer is a great way to count the steps (I can't wait to count'em up when I bissell the floors!) and then there is a nifty journal that goes with it. So, it's a deal you won't want to skip out on. I still have another GiveAway to post. I was going to post it last Friday but things didn't work out that way. So, I think I'll post it this Friday -- remember the bathing suit thingie I mentioned? [It's not what you think, LOL!] So, be looking for it.... Happy almost Thursday!
Psst! Hey? Psst! Yeah, you there! I know, you are probably wondering, "Where, oh where, has our Farmer*sWife gone?" Well, actually at the moment I'm procrastinating. I don't do that often. I've just about completed my article but there is something missing. I still need to include a fab-tastic book that I believe is currently traveling down the postal route to 'mwah-truly' to review. :-D Anyhow, I've noticed on all these blogs I've been hoppin' and poppin' in that a lot of them have these cute little badges on them. And, they all have them up for grabs. So, if you really like their blog or website, you can grab their little badge and put it on your page. Sweeet, right? And, y'all know I love cool stuff like that. So, I thought to myself,
"Hmmmm, Farmer*sWife a/k/a Glass_Half_Full_Gal needs a badge." I mean, I'm a badge worthy read right? I try to put it all out there for ya. I like to save ya' money and give you free prizes to tickle your cheeks into a smile. I like to laugh out loud at myself hoping you giggle a little loudly too. And, I *heart* my bloggies. I *heart* my followers. I *heart* almost everything (except egg plant and the things on the pet peeve list over on the left). I would totally *heart* a badge!!
But I don't know how to make one.
that I'm too busy, too lazy to learn, and dependent on the totally talented there is a Master of Badges and Buttons out there -- I hinted a tweet to The Queen and she took my new header up there and as fast as wild mustangs stampeding across the range she came up with this!!!!!!
[Cover your ears] Sqeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Can you believe it? I now have my very own badge!! Yippee! Sweet Febreze!!! Totally FAB-Tacular!!! So, I already put it up on my left side bar for you to grab!
Go Ahead! Grab! Grab away!
Put it on your blog wall! Put it on T-shirts! Put it on Caps! Join me in mission!
We can all be a Glass Half Full! Full of what is totally up to you! [See how flexible I am? Like ElastiGirl!] So grab it and make
ME my Glass Half Full way an icon!! Whoop! There it is! Whoop!Whoop! Over on the left! Whoop! You can have it, for FREEEE from Lil'Ol Meeeee!
Happy Hump Day! Be sure to put some Diggity in it!

AWARDS! AWARDS! I'M SHARING AWARDS!!!
Working from home is 'Da-BOMB!' Except when the kids are home all the time and won't let you get any work done -- or allow you to have any 'undistracted-complete' thoughts. *sigh*
So, this is where I've been all weekend. Plus we went out for seafood by the ocean with some friends on Friday PM to round out the end of Lent; my nephew, Famer T, had is birthday party Saturday which turned out to be nasty-crappy weather; Sunday was Easter and the weather was fantastic so there ain't going to be any workin then; and, today the kids are out of school.
So, I'm going to pimp out my GiveAways again -- click the cascade and then scroll to enter for the Fiber One Gift set -- the water bottle is so super awesome; no ordinary water bottle. Me and Lil'Gal fight for it. And, the pedometer? I'll begin wearing that tomorrow in my new effort to trim my waistline. Summer is here!I was pleasantly surprised and tickled to the toe to receive honors from two great bloggers!

Lil'Gal awoke me at 5:20 this morning to announce, "It's Easter!" I replied, "No, not yet. It's not morning yet." I told her to go back to sleep but I am sure she played in her room, more anxiously than she did Thursday (school Easter party) when she woke me at 5:30. At 6:00a.m., Farmer, Jr. greeted me at my bed side to announce, "The Easter Bunny came!" To which, I again replied. "Go back to sleep, it's not quite morning." He too, returned to his room and I think to his bed, but he wasn't sleeping. As soon as the sun began to rise Lil'Gal was back to inform me that it was officially morning.Wait! What's this? Uh-Oh! Apparently, the camera
Mom Man isn't safe either.
So, I sent her off to release her brother as I climbed out of bed a little before 7:00 a.m. to open the back door and let them revel in their treats. [We leave the baskets outside so the Easter Bunny can fill them. Only Santa and the Tooth Fairy have enough magic/permission to come inside. It's more believable for the kids too -- and we leave a plate of carrots and celery.] This morning started out dreary and drizzly. After mass (which was really nice, we had a guitar player/singer in the choir and it was beautiful), the sun started coming out. By lunch time the weather was absolutely gorgeous! And, still is! The kids had a blast as usual, hunting Easter Eggs at my MIL and FIL's. Here, see for yourself... Farmer, Jr. is chasing for eggs from behind; notice the yellow one he stops to grab.
Though, he's worried the girls might beat him to the rest (there were plenty, my MIL is great that way.)
My niece and nephew who live about a quarter mile down the road where hunting too and I have some great shots, but I'm not allowed to post them on my blog. :-(
We also like to use 'crackin' eggs' better known as confetti eggs. The Easter Bunny Brought them this year!
Daddy was quite the good sport. He always is! ;-D
"No-no, I'm not playing...I'm just the capturing the essence of the day..."
Okay. I'll play too!
It's always fun to wear confetti :-D
The unfortunately thing was that my Mom woke with bad sinuses and a terrible cough. She tried to pull it off on the phone but after a few big hacks and gags I had to send her off to bed. I know The Teenager was disappointed, but I told him we'd make it up to them.
They'll come out tomorrow if Mom isn't feeling worse or feverish or contagious. You never know with allergies and sinuses down here. But, the cough kinda' gave it away....
This one is my favorite. It totally captures the day.
Way to be happy. Way to be blessed.
Thank you Lord for this Easter Fest.
Happy Easter to you all....

Holy Cowpatties! Did this not take two different vlog sessions and a whole day's worth of uploading! What is up with that?
Though, Macxine is grounded so I didn't use my webcam with the LT. I used my little Walmart brand HDTV Flip Cam that Daddy bought me for Christmas! Awesome!!!
So, here it goes. This makes the current GiveAways appeal as great as they are!

Howdy all! I've been a busy bee, buzzin' all over the place. Here it is Wednesday and I've barely gotten the last GiveAway winner announced...she's listed at the top with a picture of the 'actual product' I offered. It's WAAAY better than the cheesy picture I had posted with the GiveAway.
But, I do not lie and I listed it as a $9.00 prize. Boy, wasn't I tempted to keep it for myself and give the lesser version away. But, no. Farmer*sWife sticks by her word!
Time for a new GiveAway!!!!
Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Agent! WHOOOP! I got it for free, I'm already stocked up in the cupboard and I have a new coupon on it's way for another free bottle -- to boot! So, I'm sharing my freebies and Giving it to YOU!
One lucky blogger will win. All you need to do is tell me why you love Cascade of if you prefer Electrosol or Jet Dry -- why you prefer them more. And, your comment will enter you in this week's GiveAway.
I'm keeping this one open through Tuesday, May 14th since I'm late getting it posted. GiveAway closes at midnight on the 14th of May so get your comment in quickly.
Want to earn extra entries:
If you send other bloggies to comment here and tell them to let me know they are here by way of you and you get an extra entry for each participating referral!!!
Happy Hump-Diggity Day! You just can't beat Farmer*sWife's way!

Went to bed with this song in my head. Woke up with the same tune. Humming it quietly in my mind while the family sleeps a few extra minutes. It's pumping me up. :-)
I'm off! Super-shopping trip today with tons of coupons anxious to be purged from my binder. Need to commit my morning to writing at least one article and possibly a book review. Because, after today this week is basically GONE.
I'll be back sometime to do the drawing and see who won last week's GiveAway! And, I'll be back with something new, too! ;-)

read hear FREE? Again???? And, easy? No jumping through hoops? WOW! Awesome!
Okay Boys and Guys, I realize that free bags and cosmetics from Estee' Lauder (and perfume) doesn't intrigue you to comment but JUST THINK about it if you won? You could give some great lady in your life a fabulous GIFT! She doesn't have to know you WON it for FREE. So, enter anyway. Mother's Day is coming up very soon -- just a few weeks away in fact! I should know, I'm a Mother. And, don't think your own Mom isn't secretly counting down the days on the calendar and wondering if you will remember in time to
WIN buy her something special! Something expensive and special.
And, ladies? Who wouldn't love all this to have and to own or to regift among Mom and MIL share with the other significant Mom roles in our lives?
Then again, if lucky enough to win it -- I'd think that'd be an omen that you deserve it all to yourself.
So, click the title -- pop over and drop a comment (let them know you came by way of me -- I don't get extra credit for that -- just was sayin') and help out a great cause too!
Off to re-do some of what I already did and then do some new stuff and writing too. Whew! I'm a lucky Gal. Busy, lots on my plate -- but, lucky.
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations™ refrigerated flaky dough sheet 4 teaspoons SMUCKER'S® Preserves or Jam
1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 to 3 teaspoons milk DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 350°F. In small bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and lemon juice until smooth. 2. If using crescent dough, separate dough into 8 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. If using dough sheet, cut dough into 8 rectangles. Spread each rectangle with about 2 tablespoons cream cheese mixture. Roll up each, starting at longest side; firmly pinch edges and ends to seal. Gently stretch each roll to about 10 inches. 3. On ungreased large cookie sheet, coil each roll into a spiral with seam on the inside, tucking end under. Make deep indentation in center of each roll; fill with 1/2 teaspoon preserves. 4. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until deep golden brown. In small bowl, mix glaze ingredients, adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Anybody can make these babies! And, you'll be the star of Easter morning or any other time you feel like 'impressing' folks!
I've got a busy Monday schedule. I haven't read or posted much. Hang tight! I'll have more great GiveAways and share some other soon! But, I need to nip a book review and an article out the 'to do' list today -- as the kids are out half days Thursday and Friday and no school on Monday.
Sunday, April 5, 2009
Howdy! And, a happy Palm Sunday to ya' all! I'm giddily clipping my newest printed coupons and the Sunday Papers flyers. Boy howdy! They loaded me up this week!
Anyhow, these songs have been in my mind. I don't know why. That's just me. So, have yourself a little listen and a giggle or two!
Happy Sunday! And, don't forget to click the Glade Scent fan above to comment to win! GiveAway closes out tomorrow at midnight!
FYI, I'm thinkin' it's about time for another vlog (not via Macxine since she's still camera grounded) so be looking for that soon!
