Dear Movie Maker People....

Dear Movie Maker People and Movie Script Writers,

I have taken issue with you and I feel that I am not alone.  If you are truly a movie maker who follows strictly to the story being told, then no need to read further.  Go about your task with integrity and dedication.

As for the rest of you, who shmoozz a movie from a well written book?  I have a few words.  First and last, STICK. TO. THE. STORY.  Though I dislike it when a character's car is a different color or their hair is totally opposite of what the author who originally thought up/imagined/conjured, I understand that there are budgets, promos, and acting skills that need to be had.

But, when you change the entire ending to a story?  And muddle with the middle?  Um. No.  There are people out there who do not read the books before the viewing the movie and I must say, you are doing them a great disservice by changing the boundaries of the story line.

For example:  In Dear John y'all changed the entire ending of the movie!!!  GRRRR.  Though, heart wrenching and tear inducing and frustrating the original [book/author written] ending was?  It was the ending.  And, it was gut wrenchingly nice to read a book that, like life, doesn't always end up the way we want it to.  [Even though, I DO prefer my happy ending....if that ain't the way the story goes, then that ain't the way the story goes.]

Oh, and BTW, Savannah was definitely a brunette in the book.  So why go with a total blondie?

And, in Twilight (the original of the Twilight Saga), Edward drove a black car NOT a silver one.  Though, y'all managed to get it corrected in New Moon.  But once again, in New Moon you left out too many of the IMPORTANT details that made the whole story flow better and make so much more sense. You took the STORY out of the story, in part....  Sometimes those tiny details that you think are so easily unnecessary, are the ones that best build the story in the mind of the reader/movie viewer.

Oh.  And, I just learned from a friend that apparently The Time Traveler's Wife was meddled with similarly to the way y'all wrecked the ending of Dear John.  So now I have to be sure to read the book before being ruined by your half-@$$ movie version....  When making a movie from a book?  Make the whole movie; not just the 'Cliff-Notes' version.  If we are paying fair money, we want the whole enchilada, as they say.  Not dry without sauce, salad, and sides....  For crying out loud, at least remember the cheese if you forgo the chips and salsa.  Just sayin'....

That being said (and hopefully, heard), you may now return to your regularly scheduled movie making duties....   Please try harder to adhere to the truth/plot/characters of the story....

This has been a public complaint by Farmer*s Wife.  And, I endorse this blog post. ;-D

Welcome to the Farm...

Howdy!

Yeppers, I'm back from the big'ol State of Arkansas.  The state that doesn't believe in getting anywhere fast.  I know.  I actually got pulled over for 'not speeding' in a super slow zone....  Imagine if you will, lots of loooooong roads, outlined by woods and tall, tall trees.  And, you have to almost press your foot to the brake to keep from exceeding the speed limit.

Geeze and Whiz!  Luckily, the officer was kind and appreciated my southern drawal and gave me a verbal warning to slow down.  Slow down???  Can ya' get any slower than 35 - 45 on a 60 mile strip of asphalt?  I thinketh not.  But, I shook hands and definitely thanked the kind officer.

Anyhow, I've tons to blog but may or may not get to puttin' it all out here.  I should though, because this is kind of my digital diary of my life.  Mostly, anyhow.

So, welcome to the Farm.  This is what was happening yesterday.  Who knows what is happening today?  Hmmmmm?  Guess who's speeeeecial?  ;-)

I thought I'd share a little appropriate music to go along. Luke Bryan is a Newbie and he's got Country and Farming and Southern down... ;-) [And, he's pretty cute, too!]

Coming and Going AGAIN!

Well,

Here we go again.  Me and the kiddos are off for a long road trip.  Stopping in Houston to see my brother and nephew for the night.  Then tomorrow we will begin the long 8 hour drive to Daddy's house.

Unfortunately, I will be internet-less AGAIN as Daddy lives waaaaay back in the woods.  I googled and even went into the cell phone store to discuss a non contract USB service provider.  But, the sweet Gal was honest and said that though there is a grey area of service it probably wouldn't be strong enough to pick anything up.

My phone MIGHT work for the data plan/internet access.  But, that is a BIG MIGHT...  Pblft!

Anyhow, if ya' miss me this is why....  I'll be back in about five days or so.  And, THAT will be the last 'out of service area' trip I'll be making until next year!!!

Happy Monday!  Don't forget to celebrate FWFD of the weeeeeeeek when it gets here!

I luuuuv my demons... >;-D

Yeah, I luv my demons.

I love them like I luv Edward.

Here is a clipped pic from the scene where Edward shows up at Bella's to "Try one thing" meaning he wants to try and kiss her and see if he can control his urge for.... blood, you dirty minded peeps.

Remember, he IS in love with her (and, Alice saw her coming) but he is hungrily attracted to her [blood] scent....  so, it is love in suffering in some ways?  I guess?

Anyhow, this scene from Twilight is one of my few limited favorites.... *sigh*  *swoon*  To be young again....

BUT.  This post isn't about Edward, or Jacob, or Bella, Emmett [hawtie], Rosalie, Alice, Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, Jacob [smokin' hawtie], or the whole Twilight Saga....

It's about THIS!  Larissa Ione does a swell job of entwining action, sci-fi, romance, paranormal characters and a little...eeeee, widdy bit of awesome erotica?  I think it is called? sexuality to the characters and story line.

I know.  They 'guy' in this cover has a tatoo it looks like.  I don't really care too much for large, overbearing-look-at-me tats.  But, in this book, this is not a TAT.  It's a dermoire.  (Kind of like a birthmark.)  When the person/species uses his power the 'dermoire' almost glows and appears to be moving along the design.  Cool, huh!?

Anyhow, I've gone from Twilight [Thanks, Lis = she created my addiction to the paranormal reads!], to Sookie Stackhouse [and HBOs Rated R True Blood version, chooka-chooka, bown-bown!], to some trashy romance paranormal stuff to -- well, yep, SMUT.

I LUV my new smut!  It has action, and adventure, and paranormal characters of all kinds and these four brothers who are bound by their breed/crossbreeds, their inherited powers (each with their own) and their seductive....ahem, ways we shall say...

I'm not sayin' it is porn or Rated X or anything, but it is definitely PG 25, married with children.

He, he, he......  [Evil mischievous grin] >;-D

CALLING all readers!

Howdy Y'all!

I'm calling out to the many of you who are readers...  I signed up for my blog bookshelf at Shelfari awhile back.  If you scroll down and look to the left you'll find it there.  [Don't freak out at some of the new additions, kay?  I've been reading a little trashy, mouthwatering erotica smut lately.]

So far, I only have one friend over there at the website.  That'd be BaseBall Mom.  I thought I found shelfari at KC's place, but I just checked and apparently I thought wrong.  But, I know I found it on one of your blogs.  So whomever you are, you'll be my friend - right?

Anyhow, I would love it if y'all would add a shelf to your blog as well to share what you are reading.  If you don't want to add a shelf (possibly, your blog is already over furnished) then would you kindly be my friend over at Shelfari?

Then we can keep up and maybe some of y'all will have an even trashier more moralistic book suggestion than the smut I've currently been drooling over reading. ;-)

You can find me at here under the pseudonym, Farmers Wife. ;-)  I'll be waitin' for ya'!
