GiveAways? Good things are coming!

Isn't this adorable? This is the homemade craft we are doing at the Easter Party at school end of next week. Can you believe Easter is almost here already? WOW!
Oriental Trading has a kit to make these but without the whiskers.  And, making it from scratch is cheaper (even though O.T. is typically very reasonably priced).
I am having the children make them with those mini dessert sized paper plates instead of the large plates.  And, these are twice as many plates for half the cost. :-)  Thrifty, eh?
Then, I added the whisker idea.  Wonder-Mom thinks it looks great but I think it'd look better if I had the whiskers coming out of the nose or closer to the nose.  Bunnies whiskers are like that.  And, I'm going to pre-punch the ribbon holes and thread the bow through to make it easier on the little ones.  Pretty cute and creative, huh?
Okay, enough of that crafty-thrifty stuff.  Y'all came here under the pretense of the title:
GiveAways?  Good things are coming!
Which is so true.  I've contacted a couple of manufacturers about providing me with some vouchers I can send off to winners for free products that I love and enjoy reviewing for all of you!  I have one GREAT GiveAway that has been working it's way through the web.  But, I'm giving Root & Sprout the first round so you'll have to be sure to pop in there on Wednesday and enter to win!!!  [There will be several good GiveAway items listed! Sweeeeeet!]
The manufacturer/PR rep is providing me three prize GiveAways (plus one to keep for myself!)
So, after R&S and Grow Together list and give out their prizes then I'll post it again over here at my blog for a Glass Half Full Gal GiveAway!  :-D
Which technically means, you have three different chances to win!  And, it's not just a tiny item...and it's not a cleaning product either! I know!  You are surprised!!!!
Plus, like I said I've got some other things in the woodwork....so, hang tight!  Check back daily! Because I want to fill a little something in your Glasses too!!
So, stick with me kids!  Because it's all good and it's all FUN!

Random, about me x 6

Random.  About me?  I was tagged by a  new blog I came across...  He's an Australian Knight!  Impressive, right?  Ahh, he's just a sweet Knight earning his Armor in life.
Hmmm, something tickles my memory that I was tagged previously but extremely busy and I think I forgot to play.....Oh, my.  My Bad.  If you tagged me, and I blog-flaked?  Please, pleeease remind me....I don't like feeling flaky...  *sigh*
This Meme I'm tagged with for is "Six Random Things."  By random things, I mean random about me.  It was kinda' hard to come up with "random" about "Me" because my long time readers know me so well -- and my newbie readers probably know the random quirks about me -- probably what brought y'all here! LOL!
Random about ME, X SIX:
I really do enjoy cleaning my house.  I like things clean and orderly.  Having children was a big adjustment because I realized that they don't "follow the line," "tow the rope," or stick to my "black and white" rules.  They see gray.  They see color.  The kids are therapy....but, I still really, really enjoy cleaning things into sparkling beauty.  What can I say?  I like shiny and sanitized!
I love vegetables; every vegetable I've ever crossed with the exception of Eggplant.  Okra I tolerate but I prefer it pickled because it tends to not be snot-slimy inside -- and Okra offers a ton of calcium.  Eggplant....is raunchy.  Sorry EggPlant lovers, it's a me thing.
(Peeps who know me, know that typically if there are cooked veggies leftover in the house -- they will have been devoured by morning as my late/middle-of-the-night snack.)  Tis true.
I love clear liquors.  I used to enjoy Crown Royal and other whiskeys but I've matured and now I only like it clear.  Clear is also "clean" and it mixes well with.... well, with anything. :-D  Rum, vodka....not big on gin, really.  Unless it's the only thing you've got.  Then, I'll probably cave.  And, absolutely -- by all means -- NO tequila.  It generally makes me happy but then I get fight-angry or pregnant.  DH said no more pregnant; so no tequila for me....
I love to fold things, laundry tops the high bar.  Although I complain about the never ending laundry, I really do find folding clothes medicinally soothing.  I'll fold paper up neat and pretty.  I'll fold a map back into it's original perfection...and, be proud that I did it. :-)  But, my all time favorite thing to fold is towels.  Cup towels, hand towels, biiiiggg, sooooooft, beautiful towels.  It soothes me.
If I get ticked off?  I clean.  Seriously clean.  [Sometimes I drink a little too.]  Something about the combination of the chemicals seems to calm me down.   You want your house cleaned?  Leave cleaning products and supplies out where I can see them and then have someone really tick me off.  I guarantee -- you won't be disappointed.  [Better results if you leave cold beer too.]
I can fit in with anyone.  DH loved this about me when we first met, because he never worried about where he was going with me in tow.  He knew, I'd be fine and make my own way.  I know, I know -- right now you are thinking, "NO, Friggin' Way!  Farmer*sWife?  You are a freak!  You drive yourself, your friends, and us nuts!"  *sigh*  Just go with my fantasy.  LOL! Nah, really!  I've grown lazy of this ability because I didn't say, "I liked everyone."  I just said I know how to get along.
You could drop me at a heavy metal rock concert and I could make friends.  I've just always been good at seeing someone else's perspective.  I might not agreeeeee with it and might find it totally in the "gray" area and thus, not within my black and white standards.  But, I can see life from their viewpoint.
It's like I always say, "If you want to paint your house tie-died and your vehicle purple, I may not like it.  But, it's your business and if it makes you happy then who cares what FW thinks."  RIGHT?  Does that make me open minded?  Even though, I'm a close minded OCD personality?  LOL
And, lastly,
SIX (B):  [See how I hurdled that rule?  *snicker*] I don't fly.  I've flown since I was five years old.  I flew alone -- sent off by my Mama and picked up directly by My Daddy -- but, NO MORE.  I know.  Close minded.  It wasn't 9/11 that did it.  It was the pieces of planes falling off mid-flight, the ice, the fog, the geese! (That's a new one, but "really?"  Geese belong there.  We don't.)
So, I've grown quite the close minded since I've had babies.  These are my policies:
"God didn't give me wings and he didn't give me gills -- thus, I'm a land lover." (Meaning, I don't do cruises either.)
"If it takes a passport to get there?  It's just too darned far."  I'm afraid that if I venture outside of my USA, the bombs might hit and the Country goes into lock down -- and, I can't get back in!!!  No bueno and No thank you.  Though, if things improved I (and hubby too) have always wanted to go to Australia.
"If I'm not drivin', I'm not ridin'."  With exception to my Hubby.  I drive. That way, I always know I'm in control and can leave when I feel appropriate.  This is a control issue that goes back to my childhood though.  So, it's obsessive, but it's well founded.
Whew!  That random enough?
Happy Sunday, Y'all!  Whoop, tomorrow we start all over again.  And, I am lucky enough to have my article assignments already lined out and approved so I can "go to work!"

Friday at FIVE! LIVE!

Okay, well I "was" live but Macxine did her speedy gone-vloggie-gone-wild bit and so I removed it. Poo-ville. Way to ruin my 5:30, Friday party "Macxine!" No more vlogs for you for awhile. NO MA'AM. I'm going to start using the mini-HD type flip cam I got with my Christmas money from Daddy. AND, it came with a cute mini-tripod. So, it will be video uploads only for awhile. Sorry, y'all missed all the funny on tape. But, there are still some good laughs listed below -- wait for it though, you might have to put your brain into a few of them for a couple of seconds!
Macxine also left out the REMINDER to please participate in my Laugh-Fest post below with some funnies before midnight?  I got a few fantastic replies but crap-diddle, it's a little too little.  Oh, and it's also the last EVENING to WIN Bunny topped pencils by our Favorite Pottery Guy, Gary....
With all that, I'll leave y'all to ponder the following:
CREATIVE PUNS FOR 'EDUCATED MINDS'  1. The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was  Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from too much pi.    2. I thought I saw an eye doctor on an Alaskan island, but  it turned out to be an optical Aleutian.    3. She was only a whisky maker, but he loved her still.    4. A rubber band pistol was confiscated from algebra class  because it was a weapon of math disruption.    5. The butcher backed into the meat grinder and got a  little behind in his work.    6. No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll  still be stationery.    7. A dog gave birth to puppies near the road and was cited  for littering.    8. A grenade thrown into a kitchen in France would result  in Linoleum Blownapart.    9. Two silk worms had a race. They ended up in a tie.    10. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.    11. Atheism is a non-prophet organization.    12. Two hats were hanging on a hat rack in the hallway. One  hat said to the other, 'You stay here; I'll go on a head.'    13. I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then  it hit me.
 14. A sign on the lawn at a drug rehab center said:  'Keep off the Grass.'    15. A small boy swallowed some coins and was taken to a  hospital. When his grandmother telephoned to ask how he was,  a nurse said, 'No change yet.'

If ever there was a morning.....

Oh, my.  If ever there was a morning.  If ever there was a morning I could lie back down and sleep for another hour -- this would be it.
Coffee has been drunk, breakfast made, eaten and cleaned, kids dressed for school and almost time to leave.
Last night, Farmer, Jr. made me "pinkie-swear" I'd go back and lie down with him for awhile.  Reminding me that, "You can't break a pinkie-swear."  My Daddy taught the kids that.  And, now, if we pinkie-swear it's for keeps.
So, I did.  I went in there and fell asleep.  I woke at 2:am to return to my own bed and make the typical rounds around the castle.  Upon approaching my room, I could hear the snore factor at full alert.  So, I went back to where I began and idled to fall back asleep.
I dozed, I dreamt a little -- a little weirdness within my dozing, I tossed and turned and hoped in my mind for a few hours more.  I peeked at the backlight of my watch.  I dozed...I peeked again.  Until, I figured, "Why lie here for ten more minutes knowing I'll be just as sleepily dragging either way."
Up and AT'EM!  Off to my day!  Much to do so I'm on my way!
(Lordie please drain the groggy from my veins.)
Thank goodness tomorrow is FWFD!!!!!  Whoop!  Whoop Hurray!
Still.....if ever there were a morning.......

What's for DINNER TONIGHT!!! :-D

I haven't made this in forever!  This morning it just popped into my head.  And, I'm glad it did.  I have a notebook where I collect all those magazine recipes, etc. that we all tend to earmark or tear from their publications.  Then, we often lose track of them or forget about them all together.

I guess the notebook is what crossed my mind with the thought this morning of "What's for dinner tonight that I can make with hamburger meat?"  My original plan was Spaghetti and homemade mini meatballs -- but, I just felt bored with that.

Then, *BINK* a great idea!  So, for tonight I give you a new version of an old favorite!
PIZZA SPAGHETTI (Casserole) :-D

This recipe comes from Southern Living Magazine, March 2007's issue.  Of course, being the typical Farmer*sWife I am, I changed it up a little -- you know -- to make it my own!

Ingredients:
12 oz spaghetti 1/2 tsp salt
1 (1lb) ground beef 2 oz package of pepperoni slices (30)
26oz tomato pasta sauce (your favorite) 8 oz of grated cheeses
The actual recipe calls for ground pork instead of ground beef, turkey pepperoni, and also 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese.  We no-like stinkie cheese around mi casa!  LOL!  So, I omit it.

Process:
Cook spaghetti with 1/2 tsp salt according to package directions.  Drain well and set aside. Brown ground beef in skillet until cooked and crumbly. Drain.
Here is where I change it -- for the better and easier too -- again, making it my own.
I cut some pepperoni slices into quarters and mix it in with the meat in skillet.  Add your pasta sauce and warm together, stirring occassionally.  Mix in cooked spaghetti.

Spray a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish with non-stick spray.  Pour in spaghetti mixture.  Top with cheeses (I like cheddar and monterrey jack) and finally with a layer of pepperoni.  Bake covered at 350 for about 30 minutes or until bubbly.  Remove the cover and bake a few more minutes until cheese is melted and slightly browned or bubbly (10 minutes or less).

Remove from oven and let set about five minutes.  Then, serve with seasoned toast and a veggie!  YUM!!!  Oh, you can double this and freeze one for a great last minute meal with that home-cooked touch!
Hump-Diggity Good!  Happy Hump-Day!

LAUGH FEST! The CHALLENGE!!!

So, some or most of you know that "Mama got a brand new ride" back in February for my 10th wedding anniversary/Valentines Day/75-plus-thousand miles on the Expedition/The Rear's going out (the Expeditions, not mine, not yet anyhow). And, with this dandy new Chariot --yep, that's what I named her. Her pet name is the "Mama-mobile II" but her formal name is "The Chariot." Because every SuperMom who lives in a Castle needs a Chariot to drive around in -- came some perks! And, XM satellite radio is one very BIG perk. And, I am now addicted to the COMEDY stations. Blue Collar is my favorite but there's a Canadian channel, and about three others that I like as well. People see me driving down the road, thinking I'm having a seizure, because I'm listening to "Laugh Out Loud" funnies on the radio. And, this is one of the guys I've heard a few times recently. Guess what else? He's clean. No cursing...but FUNNY clean. He had a bit about BedWetting but I can't find it on YouTube. (This one is funny, relationship funny, etc., FUNNY) (This one is etc FUNNY, and parenting funny too!) Anyhow, this got me thinking. Let's have a Laugh Off here at my blog! Whadda'ya think? Gary had a joke fest sometime last year -- so, I'm thinking along the same lines. If you know of a really funny (and not absolutely vulgar, nasty, or too much profanity) link to a comedian at YouTube? Leave a link in the comment section! And, if you know a really funny joke? Leave it in my comment section. I'll share my top five-ten-15 you get the idea, when this is all over. I'm thinking this should close out on Friday along with my Bunny Pencil GiveAway! Should there be a prize? Hmmmm, prizes are fun. Prizes are AWESOME! What could the prize be. A joke book? A stand up comedy DVD? A big shout out on my blog(s)? Hmmm. Pitch cheap or free ideas and we will see what I come up with. And, to end this funny fest I wanted to put up a video of Ron White 'cuz he's a Big 'Ol Funny Texas Boy -- but, it's really hard to find anything he has without oooooone curse word. He doesn't curse a lot -- most of the time -- but he does bleep them in there. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Shoot, I listen to him and laugh my @$$ off gut sore all day long -- but, I don't wanna' do what I did to Three Weddings when Debbie played the Jeff Dunham video "loudly" with her kids around and he threw out an unexpected F-BOMB!. [And, somehow, I missed it after playing it several times before and after posting! LOL!] So, Whadda'ya got for me!? Give us some Funny?

Spring Break WITHDRAWALS....sigh....

Whoa is me.  Poor Lil' Farmer*sWife.  I just had too much fun over Spring Break with the kids and our friends.  Now, it is back to the grind-stone.  And, I'm a little out of shape.  Sleep-wise and mentally to boot!
I have hardly caught up on blog reads and the castle needs post visit polishing (says the Hubster). I haven't turned in my last -- GASP -- three, articles that are due for Root & Sprout by Friday!
To add to it?  The internet went from slooooooow to naaaaada until it started pepping back up last night.  *Sigh*  *Super-Sigh*  So, now I'm waaaayer behind -- if that is possible.  [Is Waaaayer a word?  Well, it is in my dictionary and at my blog! ;-)]
Anyhow, guess what came in the mail? Yep, that batch of little bunny pencils up there! They were made by Gary E. Rith (thanks Gary for the little stow away) who has his Etsy shop here. Gary loves to make all types of critters and put them on tea pots, mugs (sometimes in mugs), bowls, etc. And, you can submit a conversation to him, or just comment to him at his blog, if you are thinking about something more personalized.
Anyhow, in honor of spring, I ordered a few extra bunny pencils (they are for the youngins and the niece and nephews for Easter) because I wanted to share with my Blog Readers and Pals.
So, if you want to win a bunny pencil just pop a comment to me!  If you visit Gary at his blog or his Etsy shop come back and tell me that you did so and/or what you found over there and you get an extra entry!  ;-)  I'm just so generous!!!
I guess pencils don't really count for a product to review.  But, those who know me well know that I love super sharp pencils.  I always have a minimum of three to five lethally sharpened pencils at my side.  And, one or two in my purse, one in my SUV, and a couple in my LT case -- along with a note pad or two!  And, since pencils don't go well without a note pad -- I'll throw a nifty one of those in as well!!!
This drawing will close out this Friday, March 27th, at Midnight.  I'll then do the random drawing over the weekend and announce the winner here at my place!  If I can link back to you or have your email I'll let you know at your place too.  So, be sure to include an email or your URL so I can backtrack you!
This GiveAway is all about pencils and paper!
HAPPY EARLY EASTER!

(Darn, I just realized I probably should have ordered that cute yellow bunny mug too.  Hmpft!
[Get back to work, FW!]

THE WINNER IS??? [Gain Fabric Sheets GiveAway]

FINALLY RIGHT!!!! Soooooo sorry! Here's the vlog -- times two! Macxine is officially grounded from her nice new mouse pad TG gave us.
Well, the pictures will be next in a post of their own.  I've gotta' hit the body cleaner for a cleaner me.  I'll post the pics with a few stories....and, Macxine cut Lil'Gal out of her serenade both times.
Did you see that?  Did you just watch that crap?  I totally *heart* my Mac but Macxine might need a little exercism.  I think she's getting a little too Power Happy.  I mean, she kicked DH off the internet all the time.  She's peeving about vlogs if it is something she's not interested in.  And, a little while ago, I tried to sit in DH's new chair (our new chair but he's been using it since it got here) and she totally wouldn't accept the internet access.
Hmpft.  I think Macxine is going to church with me tomorrow. ;-)
Anyhow, no worries.  I kick her lil'Ol kinks out.  *giggle*snort*  And, if you didn't catch that, Jay won the GAIN DRYER SHEETS!  YAY for Jay!
More stuff coming.  I might do two products or two of the same item for next week to make up for my being away so long![stay tuuuuuned]
Happy Saturday, Y'all!  Hope it's a good one!

SPRING BREAK 2009!!!

I'M BACK!!! Whoooo-hooo! What FUN did we have! It was awesome. I learned a few things about myself though. Like, how attached I really have been to Macxine all this time. Especially, these last few months -- working from her and all and really working hard with Lis and Root & Sprout. Bex and the kids came down and it was fabulous (that word seemed to stick in my vocabulary all week.) Anyhow, I'll be back with pictures but I'm off to a birthday party. I have more details to share too! Tech Guy (TG/ Bex's hubby) got the Hubster's LT to work without Macxine kicking him off and also set up my fancy, snazy printer that followed me home to finally work wirelessly. So, I don't have to run back and forth with Macxine for coupon printing, etc. AAAHHHHHHH, the luxuries, huh? OH, and the WINNER ISSSS?? I haven't forgotten! I so apologize! I might have to offer TWO GiveAways for this next week to make up for it. But, we have 20 entries all together. So, I will do the drawing with the kids and officially announce the winner here a little later! AGAIN, I apologize for the delay. And, I WILL make it up to all of you! OOH! OOH! And, thanks to my new Followers! Yes, I do see you up there! It's sometimes hard to back track you to your place since Blogger changed up the follower thingie but I'll find a way! I'll be back! Thanks for making my DAY!!!! I'll have PICS and Great GIVEAWAYS!!!!!

Tuesday's Goodness!

Tuesday!  YaY!
Let's count some good things that happened today, shall we?
Well, I went shopping at the grocery store with my coupon binder in tow and two small children and a Teenaged brother.  It worked out quite well as The Teenager kept the children within a five foot radius of the basket and I was able to concentrate on my shopping:
comparing products by generic, brand, nutrition, cost and coupon savings.
In the end, I walked out of the store quite Gleefully with -- are you ready for it? -- $56.23 in total coupon savings.  OH YEAH BABY!  And, that doesn't include my other store smart shopping that also calculates itself into real buck value!
Then, I received three packages with great stuff and items for Review products and GiveAways at Root & Sprout and Grow Together!!  Ooooh, I so wish I could tell you about the fabulous stuff but you'll just have to wait..... ;-D
If you haven't already, you'll want to join up and make a little page over at Grow Together because in order to review products for R&S you have to be a Member. ;-)
The Teenager and I had a good visit and Mom came back out and entertained the kids.  Hubby picked up dinner since I was feeling so allergy/sinus crappy -- Thanks Hubby!
AND, Bex and the kids will be here tomorrow afternoon!  Whoo-!  I gotta' spit shine the castle before they get here and prepare the chicken and Homemade Scalloped Potatoes (recipe provided by ProHomeMaker!)
Last for the day, here is a fabulous sunset.  We can watch this one together!!
I'll make some time later to do the drawing for the winner of last weeks GiveAway!!!

It's Monday; Oh, YES it IS!

So, it's Monday.  Spring break Monday.  The first official day of Spring Break Week.  Started off nice enough, me and Lil'Gal slept in.
Then, it was off to town for her MD follow up and a few errands before my Mom and the Teenager come out to visit.  I was tied up with the doctor's office until lunch.  I had taken Macxine so I could get caught up on some stuff this morning so that I wouldn't feel that I should be glued to her while family is visiting and having my brother over the the night.
Well, no service at the Pediatrician's office.  Poo.  Only next door in the Hospital Physician's tower.  Which is where we see the Urologist.  Poo.
So, all that time was spent wasting away.  Lil'Gal became extremely board but I let her play 'Bubble Breaker' on my cell phone.  I left the book behind for my book review.  But, I can't concentrate like that anyhow with Lil'Gal bouncing around me.
On top of that, I've had this head/allergy thing going on.  Friday I was foggy all day and spent the first half of the morning falling from one bed to a couch and bounding that way through my routine.  Stopping each time for a rest.
So, today I'm back with the fever eyes, scratchy throat, wanna' sleep all day feeling.  I was falling alseep in the treatment room when the MD finally came in. Then, off for a urine culture (again) 'cuz there are apparently white cell counts in Lil'Gal's urine again -- or still.  She's on profilactic antibiotics daily to help deter UTIs and the high fevers they bring with them.
*sigh*  Got my other errands tended to as best and quickly as possible.  But, that meant I had to tell Mom I was running behind and to be out here at 2:pm (which will be 4:pm knowing my MOM! LOL)
I have laundry to fold, puzzles to pick up (okay, that should fall to the kids), the dishwasher needs to be emptied and reloaded with my dishes from my 2:00 lunch.  DH didn't make the bed this morning (I didn't sleep in it last night) so I need to tend to that.  But, I want to lay down before the family gets here to visit.
AND, Bex and the kids are coming down!!!  Which is fabulous!  But, I don't want to have medicine head allergies when they arrive....  Grrrr.  I am so thrilled and they are so excited as well to come down!!
And, we get LOTS of quality time together -- usually, when they come down they have to hit so many places (us, family, grandparents) and all in a short time.  But, this visit will be grand!  And, then TG is flying in Friday afternoon to join us.  [That way they can all ride back together and it'll give him more time....]
GREAT NEWS!!!  Well, if that wasn't great enough I've got more!  I got picked up by a company that PRs for multiple companies and their products!!  YAY!!  This means I have sponsored GiveAways!!  I get one to review and then some to Give Out to YOU!!!
The first one is on it's way.   For me to review and pimp out and then three to Give Out!  Now, you know of course that I'm all about Root & Sprout!  So, we'll be sharing one their and at GT  -- but I can't tell you what it is.  BUT, I have one to Give Away here to all my bloggies who support me and come back to read me and watch me living out dreams.
FYI, please pop over to Root & Sprout to see the fabulous new venue.  And, you can COMMENT on the articles there!  [Psssst!  Go comment to me!  You know I heart comments and I want my Editor, Lis to know y'all are reading me!!!]
So, I have a BUSY week of fun, fun and FUN!
Happy Monday!  I'm off to lay down on the couch with some tylenol in my tummy tend to the dishwasher and fold that laundry!

The Joke and the revelation!

Howdy Peeps!  Business first, no wait.  Business last!  What happened to sweet, funny, happy Glass!  Have I gone all Mommy-ville in this blog?  To drive my Non-Mommy friend readers away!?  It just isn't right, what is up in here.
I'm doing well, but no longer so funny I fear!
So, I'm thinking I'll save you from "savings" tonight!
['kay, that's a lie, it wouldn't be right.  The links will be listed below my self Roast, right before the end of this post.]
A good Joke to Me!
This comes from a new blog I came across, well he actually discovered me! [Aw, I'm blushin'] He's a funny Tweep from Down'under!  And, he reminds me endearingly of our long lost  MadMan.  Only a few years younger.  ...Unlesss, Madman re-invented himself?  :-D
Anyhow, he shares, 'Hey Glass_Half_Full, ever heard the joke?"
Me:  "What joke?"
Him:  " The Pessimist says the Glass is Half Empty; The Optimist says the Glass is Half Full...."
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Yeah, me too!  I was like, "And?????"
Him:  "The engineer say the Glass is Twice as Big as it Needs to Be."
You know you Giggled!  I mean, that's perfect logic!  The Glass can't be half full or half empty if the glass is sized to the volume it holds.  Do you know what this means???
Everyone's Glass would be FULL!  Incredginous!  (Doesn't that mean Incredible and Genius?  Well, in my dictionary it does!  Remember, I make up my own words as they fit).
There's more to tell and so much Great fun for this Spring Break.  But, I've got lots to do, tuck in, tend to and a book review to write tomorrow -- before all the good new and fun comes to visit the Farmer*sWife's Castle!!!
The savings tips:
If you don't get the CVS or Walgreen's flyers you can check them at the website online.  And, print their coupons there as well!  Yes, they combined.  AWESOME!
All time favorite, even the Hubster has started using it on his course, calloused hands:
Jergen's lotion.
Second one I found on my own to combine with my 'clipping' is for the new flavor of cereal:
Banana Nut Cheerios!!  I tried to catch these babies with coupons at the local Wally store but they hadn't stocked it on the shelves yet!  Now, I'm going in armed with double savings in two coupons!
Tomorrow is a sleep in and then get ready day!  With a whole lot of peeps on their way!  To visit with me for a short stay!  The Teenager will come and visit for an overnight stay.
And, WHOOP!  Bex is bringing the kids, and a few days later TG will fly in!  And we will all end out spring break with a bang.
First family, then friendship - Ain't that JUST the way!
Happy Sunday/Monday!  Farmer*sWife's way!  (remember that joke, cuz' life is full).

ICE CREAM PIE! Thank Pillbury!

INGREDIENTS Crust 1 Pillsbury® refrigerated pie crust (from 15-oz box), softened as directed on box Filling 4 cups (1 quart) vanilla ice cream, slightly softened 1/2 cup caramel topping 1/2 cup fudge topping 3/4 cup Spanish peanuts (4 oz) Additional peanuts, if desired DIRECTIONS 1. Heat oven to 450°F. Bake pie crust as directed on box for One-Crust Baked Shell, using 9-inch glass pie plate. Cool on cooling rack 15 minutes. 2. Layer 2 cups of the ice cream in crust. Drizzle with 1/4 cup of the caramel topping and 1/4 cup of the fudge topping. Sprinkle with peanuts. Layer remaining 2 cups ice cream over peanuts. Freeze 4 hours or overnight. 3. Drizzle individual servings with remaining caramel topping and fudge topping. Sprinkle with additional peanuts. Cover and freeze any remaining pie.
If you are an ice cream lover and a sweet lover, this pie will hit you right where you want it to -- tummy central!
Thank Pillsbury for the recipe.  Their pie crusts are awesome and super easy.  I love cooking from scratch but I never make homemade pie crusts because who needs to mess with that when these are easier and tastier?
Even my cherry pies.  I do the basket weave across the top for that pretty and professional look. All I have to do is cut one of the round pie crusts into strips and weave it across the top!  Whala!  Beautiful pie and tasty crust in minutes.
Be sure to sign up with Pillsbury.com.  I just printed over $12.00 worth of coupons (their pizza crust is grand too!  And, typically I DO prefer to make my own pizza crust).
Pillsbury will send you emails once a week or biweekly with tons of coupons and great simple recipes.  Recipes for meals, entertaining, quick snacks, etc.
The savings comes when I combine my printed coupons Pillsbury so kindly email me with those great clippings from the Sunday coupon flyers.  [Pillsbury has coupons at least twice a month for their products in the Sunday flyers.]
Just trying to share the Yum!  And, share the Savings!  Mother's Day is at my house this year and I think I be serving this pie for dessert -- it'll be super Hot here by May!!
Perfect Ice Cream Weather!
Happy Saturday, AGAIN!!

BLOG LOVE!! <3

I'm a little late getting this up, but BaseBall Mom shared a little Blog Love and gave me this!
Then the idea is to share it with other bloggers whom I read quite often.  Well, that list would be pretty much the same as my blog roll down on the left hand side.  So, I'm leaving this up for all of you to take and display!
Don't forget, if you haven't already commented -- comment to this week's GiveAway hosted by ME!  There's a button above with a link to my Gain Dryer Sheet GiveAway.  It closes on Monday, March 16th, 2009 at Midnight.  :-)

YUMMY RECIPE!! (The kids will eat too!)

Here is another one of my MIL's fabulous recipes.  It has been passed down a few generations. Once again, I just have to say it, my Mom-in-law is the absolute best!  She's one of the best people I know.  I love her and respect her in so many ways.
So, without further ado, here is her SQUASH & CRACKER CASSEROLE:
6-8 yellow squash (you can use the sliced frozen if out of season or not available)
Chopped onion
Saltine crackers
American cheese slices
Butter
1 egg
Salt, Pepper, Nature's Seasoning (by Morton)
Boil sliced squash with some chopped onion (amount to your liking) until tender.  Drain completely.  Add about four tablespoons of butter, and seasonings to taste and mash with a potato masher.  (Add a little more butter as needed.)  Add beaten egg and mix together well.
Spray an 8x8 pyrex dish with non-stick spray.  Pour squash mixture into the dish.  Layer the top of the dish with cheese slices.
Roll out half a pack or so of saltine crackers in a zip lock bag with a rolling pin.  Roll out until crushed into fine crumbs.  Pour crumbs evenly on top of casserole.  Some people might mix the crumbs with some melted butter.  I spray the top with a non-butter spray (Can't believe it's Not Butter or Parkay's version) for a healthier alternative.
There's enough butter and cheese already, right?
Bake uncovered in a preheated oven at 350 for about 20 minutes.  Let cool a minute or two before serving.  Fabulous!  DEEE-lilly-icious!!!
There ya' go my blog buddies!  Happy eating!  Happy Friday!  It is, after all, FWFD!

NEW POST!!!!

Howdy all!
I got behind.  The Power went OUT!!  OMG!  It had the nerve to stay out for about an hour!  So, seeing as I had no electricity to do anything I wanted to do -- I did my other favorite thing.  I cleaned.  So, actually, it worked out pretty well for me.
I know I've been slacking in my blog and blog reading.  I get to y'all three or four at a time, then back to my day job and then back to a few blogs.  Hang in there with me.  I'm building my career and also building relationships to help me share fun, free things with y'all too!
I've been really busy working in the other couple of windows open on Macxine working on Root & Sprout stuff, and trying to work on some goodies for members of Grow Together [social networking members who are also Root & Sprout readers] to review and enter to win!
Have I mentioned that Lis ROCKS?
I'm having such a blast working on this project and working with Lis and the fabulous TEAM that she hired!   [Um, yeah, the bottom pic is me!!!!  Whooop!]
Anyhow, I've met all kinds of peeps and tweeps in my endeavors and research.  One, I'm going to pimp out here because she's got a great blog and she does great GiveAways of her own (I'm getting to bigger and better stuff; you can't just get there overnight!  But, hang tight!  More freebies from ME are soon on their way).
By the way, MY EDITOR, Lis Garrett is AWSOME!
So, check out the blog I follow, Lis Samples, Mom of 2 boys, Wife of 1!  She's giving away a cute dispenser of Clorox Wipes!!!
So, click and go get it!  And, while you are at it, click the link to Grow Together and sign up.  Cuz' we'll be bringing some great GiveAways there too!  Lis has all kinds of great new things coming but you have to be a member to reap the benefits!  (You'll find me blogging there as well under Farmer*s Wife.)
And, click the link to Root & Sprout.  After you read all about MEEEEE! the TEAM, then click the right side bar under In This Issue, March 2009 -- here, I'll make it easier than that.  Click R & S:  March Issue 2009! and you can read everything written by me! all the great stuff so many parents have written and contributed!

Time to WIN Again!!!

This is what I have for you for this week's GiveAway!  I know, some of you are thinking "cleaning products AGAAAAAIN????"
And, to that I say, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth..." :-)
I love Gain dryer sheets in original scent.  I'll also buy bounce when it is scented with Gain original scent.  Island Fresh is good too, but original is my favorite.  I don't like a dryer sheet or fabric softner that leaves your clothes smelling sweet.
I want my clothes to smell CLEAN!  Like bleach or like spring.  [I bleach all my whites.]
Dryer sheets are fantastic.  I use them even when I don't use fabric softener and in place of fabric softener.  I don't use fabric softener on jeans, etc. because I feel like it is kind of a waste. I use the liquid on sheets, blouses, shorts, soft clothing, and towels (except whites -- bleach).
Here's the tip to double your savings on this product:
CUT THE SHEETS IN HALF!  Yep.  I read this on another blog somewhere and at first I was quite skeptical.  But, you know what?  It worked just fine.  I've been doing it for a week now.  No static in the clothes, they feel soft and smell nice -- and I've doubled the use of my dryer sheets.
There are multiple other uses for dryer sheets as well:
  • Put them in your shoes if they get smelly
  • Put them in your undies drawer
  • Put them under your seat in your vehicle
  • Rub them on your skin as a mosquito deterrant
There are lots of other used for dryer sheets.  You can probably google them up.  Anyhow, you know the drill.  Comment here and tell me what you could do with a brand new box of Gain dryer sheets.
If you linkie my contest at your place, comment back and you get a second entry!  How great is that!?
This GiveAway closes on Monday, March 15th, 2009, at midnight.  I'll vlog the drawing to announce the winner.  Remember, I will have to have your shipping address to send it to you; but, I can get that via email after the winner has been announced!
Good Luck!

Dr. Mr. President....

Dear Mr. President,
I realize that you are still new in office and are working diligently and somewhat swiftly to fix our economy, the issues with the war, and other important issues as well.
You mentioned the word "change" in your platform.  I have an issue that could be tended too very easily.  The time.  It is 7:30 a.m. and my children are asking why they have to go to school in the dark.
Could we just spin the clock back 30 minutes and be done with all this time "change" once and for all?  I mean, we have things like electricity now days.
Thank you and have a nice Monday,
-- Farmer*sWife a/k/a Glass Half Full Gal
P.S.  Feel free to check out my blog anytime.  And, be sure to direct Michelle to Root & Sprout.  She can find some great parenting tips over there.  :-)

Cowgirls don't cry....

Y'all remember this? My Happy Cap? [Okay, it's also for bad hair days; and, lazy hair days.]
If you keep trying you will succeed -- this 'tis true because I kept searching and I found THIS for all of you! It took awhile though, due to the multiple 'embedding disabled' thingies with so many of the videos.
You have to give it a listen.  The beat is nice but the story is fantastic.  I totally *heart* this song.  Course, we heard it on the way to meet the breakfast crew this morning and it has been in my mind all day long.
So what do I do?  Well, obvious!  I listen to it about a million kazillion times over, and over, and over until my brain reboots -- fresh and clear. ;-)
Y'all know me and I'm all capped out sometimes with my "Pull Up Your Big Cowgirl Boots and Deal With It."
I wear this song right along with it. ;-)  That's why I wanted to share.  I don't think it will get stuck in your minds.  It's a 'me' thing.  So don't think I'm trying to set you up.  But, I really do hope you give it a little listen.
Brooks and Dunn always remind me of my farming friend and dance partner who introduced me to my Hubster.  He was a Southern guy, real southern and an excellent two-stepper, chuffler, etc.  You name it -- we could dance it.
He was killed in an ultralight accident about two or three years after he'd introduced me to my future life mate.  I remember I was at work when DH gave me the call that they heard it and thought it was him.
I thought I was okay.  But, then I broke down and went home.  I played Brooks and Dunn for the entire evening and cried.  Then, I watched it on the news....and played it all over again and cried again.
He was a great, fun-loving guy.  Gosh, darn'it.  If we didn't tell him umpteen times to stay out of that dang paper-mache craft.
Anyhow.  I don't know what possessed me to throw that in here.  I guess the flash of Kix Brooks in the video cuz' that was our nick-name for him.  He looked just like Kix Brooks so that was his name around us.
Well, I'm off to tackle the mountain of laundry and I might hit a few toilets to free up my morning tomorrow...  And, the baseboards need a good dust by the paint brush designated strictly for baseboards.  That'll make me feel like I'm earning my keep so I don't get fired from my day job.
[I'll probably take Macxine in the room with me though, while folding laundry.  So, I don't miss out on my tweeps! *smiley-wink*]
Happy Sunday!

It's ME! Betty!

Guess what!  What NOW, Farmer*sWife?  You won the lotto?  You saved big at the grocery store?  There are happy faces growing in your baby trees?
No, no.  I didn't win the lotto.  But, I DID save big.  And, I didn't know Happy Faces could grow on trees.  Maybe I need to look into gettin' one of those and then I could surprise people by mailing them home-grown happy faces....  I'll ponder on that one later. ;-)
But, that's not what I'm hear about.  I'm hear about, Betty!  She's a new blog friend (and follower, Yippeeee) I met at....can you guess???   Twitter!  Twitter has been fantastic!  I love the chatter and I love how supportive folks are in there -- folks from eeeeverywhere!
And, they tweet you out (that's twitter code for Pimp ya!).  It's been great.  I also met @jodi there and @lisasamples -- they both blog too, but it's hard to get their url quick and easy cuz bloggers follower changed things up.  But, I believe they are both somewhere under other names in my blogroll way down on the left side of my blog -- along with @it's_me_Betty!
Anyhow, so @ It's_Me_Betty put up a little award for me at her place.  She formerly blogged at her hubby's blog but realized that she needed a creative space of her own. ;-)  We all know, it's addicting.
So, anyhow.  She gave me.....(blushing with joy) an award.  A Creative Award.
Guess what else?  I get to pass it along to seven other bloggies.  [Only seven!!  So, if I send it to ya' you gotta' help me share with those I missed, kay??]
Now for the rules, Seven things I love (ONLY SEVEN?)
  1. My God (hey, I don't pimp him often but he's done a whole lot for me) ;-)
  2. My Life
  3. My Family a/k/a My Life (this includes all my other pertinent friends and family members)
  4. My New Found Calling and new YOB!  Thanks to Lis, the Team and all the members!
  5. My White Apple LT a/k/a Macxine (pretty clever, huh?) Whom, without, none of this overturn of advents into the cyberworld would have been achieved.
  6. My Outlook on Life: It started out very bleak as a youngin' but you are who you are and who you want to be; not a product of who they try to make you.
  7. My Blog Friends -- who have supported me through happy, crazy, wierd, P!$$es and Moans (they do happen on occasion) and my IRL true friends as well, both near and far, who are always supportive of me and my family and my endeavors.
And, share with Seven blogs (again, ONLY SEVEN?)
Well, hmmmm.  Gosh oh Geeze, Stitch my Britches -- this is hard.....kay.  Since it's the Kreativ Blogger Award, I have to go with Creative....
  1. THAT WAS TODAY (she started me here in blogville unknowing that I would run rampart shouting out to the entire town!)
  2. Gary a/k/a Potter's Blog a/k/a Big G Pottery Man (cuz' he's really good with clay and that spinny wheel thing!)
  3. The Queen & The Fairy Tale Princess (Hey, that's not cheating cuz' they're related -- and royalty.)
  4. "My Editor" (I'm not suckin' up, I really like her!  She's awesome!  I love her to pieces cuz' she's....well...AWESOME)
  5. Harmful If Swallowed (Reading her is like reading a novel as it is unfolding in real life.  She's is fabulously creative with weaving her words and bringing you into her stories.)
  6. Another Online Mom (She gave me the hook-up with Scrapblog so I could make cool headers like the one of my kids in the cotton -- the cotton is ours, the scrapbook part came from Scrapblog) ;-)
  7. Pro-Home-Maker (He taught me the force in baby steps to the savings that I keep WOW-ing my Hubby with.  It's my new high, getting stuff cheap and sometimes for FREE!)
  8. Sweet D (Because she's my biggest cheerleader, along with my Mom, and because I love her to pieces cuz' she's one of the best people one could ever know.  She loves everyone.  She loves the world.)
Okay, bloggies.  That was really hard for me.  What?  Cheat?  Noooooo.  I most certainly did not.  Nope.   Well, okay, so I improvised a little.  It never hurts to make a great thing better, greater?  Right?
Happy Saturday Night!  I'm off to tackle the young ones into the tubs and make turkey burgers (from scratch) for dinner.  *sigh*  We lose an hour tonight.  No fair.  Cheeze-wiz.

Bringing the Savings to YOU!

Bringing the savings to you.  I'm going through my coupons for my first of the month's new budget grocery shopping.  This is always my big trip of the month when I get all the stuff I've been hoarding coupons for.
And, when I have to replenish the items we've gone without about the last week of the month as I try to stay within or -- as in this month -- under budget!!!  :-D
Who likes Reynold's Wrap? I do! But, I tend to buy generic unless I have super savings clipped. Well, here's a little coupon for Reynold's Parchment Paper.
This is the fun trip I make that ends up with about 30 plus coupons in savings towards my purchases.  So, I was looking for something to go with Cascade (I tend to like it better than electrosol) and I found this little nugget here for a booklet in $30.00 savings on these products. Click the link, scroll down to one of the coupon or free sample items, click it and fill out the form. I get one of these booklets every other month or so. And, when I used these great savings with the cycle of printed coupons -- I fill up on the stuff I love to use around the house for cheaper than a generic brand of it. ;-) I love Scrubbing Bubbles products. But, they can be pricey. However, I've signed up with SC Johnson and Right@Home and they mail me and email me lots of great coupons regularly! Booklets of coupons! You can sign up with both of these companies by clicking their link at the top of the page when you go to the link I just gave you! This is how I'm able to fill my obsession for all things cleaning! Click the links while you are piddling around the internet today and start raking in savings of your own! Oooh, I completed the info at that link and just printed my $1.00 off coupon for Scrubbing Bubbles Mega Shower Foamer..... Now I just need to wait for a sale or a Sunday Flyer clipping! This stuff works great and you can use it in toilets too! Sweeeeeeet! Don't forget to comment on my previous post for a chance to win a free Tide-to-Go stick! My treat to you! Happy Saturday!

FREE STUFF! You know you love me!

LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!
You can get a free sample of this for FREE if you click on the Title to this post.  And, that's not all you can get. I mentioned in my previous post that I would be back to share my newest review of one of my favorite products.
So, in doing so and looking for graphic I stumbled upon all these great savings and FREE SAMPLES!! WHOOOOP! Farmers*Wife ROCKS!!!!!!!!
This is what I was originally looking for:
These babies are awesome! They really work! I've had this product on my blog before but it has been quite a long time ago. I carry one of these in my purse. You don't know how many people's shirts and blouses I have saved with this thing! And, that includes a few of my own and a pair of light colored capris!
At the link there is a coupon to save $1.00!  There is also a $1.00 off coupon for Downy Total Care.
So, how do you like the product of the day today?  I love it.  I love it so much that I am giving one away!  A tide to go stick (not the mini for you -- no way -- the orange one).
All you have to do is comment here about how you think this product would make your life a little easier!  This GiveAway closes out Monday, March 9th, at Midnight.  Then, I run a random draw of all participants and I'll announce you here and at your place if you leave me a link.
I will need the winner's name and address to ship it to! ;-)
I'm going to post this at my The Real Mom's blog and of course, at my place over Grow Together!
Comment to win!  Pass it along to your friends!
Happy FWFD!!

In Your Eyes......

Remember this? Wasn't this like the all time best movie that year? TOTALLY.... I made you want to watch it again, huh? You can say it. TOTALLY. John Cusack was adorable in this role. He's adorable anyhow in that edgy, twitchy, kind of way. So, now, you know you have to listen to this.... TOTALLY! I'll be back later to review one of my favorite products that everyone should keep in their purse or glove box. :-) And, I might even attach a little GiveAway to it! YAY! FREE STUFF! Yep, It's FWFD!!!! Gary is the one who brought this on. With the his Cure video and all. :-)

Over the Moon

Check out the nutritional facts on this milk.  Healthier all the way around and the fat savings is incredible! I've been buying this milk for about six weeks now.  The first time I tried it, the store had a little stand with a lady serving up samples.
They place her right across from the wine isle so it was no wonder people were disappointed when they discovered she was only offering samples of milk.
Feeling for the Gal, I tried a sample of the 1% fat milk.
It was YUM!  It tasted a little smoother than the 2% milk I generally buy.
The true test would be Farmer, Jr.
Can you believe that he dislikes whole milk?  If a restaurant serves it up to him or a friend's parent within their home, he won't drink it.  He can taste and feel the difference and he doesn't like whole milk.
Considering that Over the Moon has a silky, somewhat thicker taste and texture compared to 2% milk -- I wasn't sure how it would go over with him.  It was a BIG HIT!
Now, I will say that it only comes in half gallon cartons currently.  And, it is a bit pricier.  But, when I purchased this product to try at home it had a 55 cent instant coupon attached to it.  I also asked the sample Gal if she had any coupons.  She handed me a $1.00 coupon which I used at the register with the instant coupon as well.  Wal-mart is so good that way! ;-)
It also comes in fat free milk and chocolate.  So, you can mix it up if you have a preference.
Considering the value of the nutrition, I think my kids are worth the extra 25-50 cents per half gallon of this milk.  We all know, I'll make up for it in savings elsewhere.  And, as long as they are offering a coupon online -- I will continue to stock my fridge with "Over the Moon" milk.
Click here for the $1.00 off coupon!    That's $1.00 off one half gallon.  That means if you print it twice, you are saving $2.00 for a gallon of milk.
You're Welcome! ;-)
[Editor's Note:  I do not receive payment for these reviews.  Nor have I received a free sample.  This review is based on my own personal findings and is strictly my own opinion.]

Vlog the Day Away

Told ya' I wanted to do this.  So, I'm doing it.  I'll do it in a more formalized manner as I get into it, but for today I thought I'd Vlog out the morning!  Per Gary's request.  :-)
That was too funny! I don't know what happened there. Let's try that again, shall we?  Let's see if You-Tube can get a better take on this....
Well, CRAP!  That one didn't work either.  And, this was a good one.  Macxine is grounded.  G-R-O-U-N-D-ed, Grounded!  Poo-ville.
Yeah, isn't that just like her?  She cut out the last 20 seconds or so of the vlog.  She's been catty about that lately.  I just might have to start using my little flip cam thingie with the tiny tri-pod instead.
Anyhow, not that you would know because the video/sound is all screwy but I was just mentioning to be sure you cut the wicks on your candles down to about a 1/4 of an inch.  This way the burn more evenly and disperse the scent better.  They also last longer this way.
Here's the link to sign up for the newsletter, free samples and coupons for the Garnier line.
Here's the link for savings with Febreze, Swiffer, Cascade, Dawn and more!!  They are all owned by the same company so you get a bigger bang for your buck!
They'll mail you a booklet with $30.00 in savings.  Really, they will!  I know because I just requested my third one. ;-)
This link will let you find a beauty consultant in your area if you are interested in the Mary Kay products I mentioned.
Welp.  I just remembered I'm on the T-kids committee for my K-club that I haven't sent in my resignation for yet.  So, I'm off to drop off supplies and get that all lined out this morning.
Way to dishevel my morning.
I waaaaaaaaas going to work on my article and then catch up with all of y'all during my lunch break!
Happy Thursday (almost FWFD!)!!

I'm wondering, would you be interested???

Howdy Partners!
I've been working whole heartedly at trying to build up a variety of Review Products for Lis at Grow Together.  These products (lots of great books but other stuff too) are reviewed by either Lis, myself or another Team member, but mostly by the members and readers of Grow Together.
It's more fun to be a member and a part of something when you can be involved in fun ways.  And, the reviews are published monthly within the Root & Sprout publication.
MY POINT:  I've come across tons of great blogs that provide product reviews, and offer GiveAways and stuff like that.  I want to do this HERE.
So, tell me what you think about this idea?  I would approach manufactures, etc., for product samples to review but also for an additional sample to GiveAway!  I don't know where this will go or where exactly it will take me other than taking up a lot of extra time with my @$$et perched in front of Macxine other than being a whole lot of fun.
And, wouldn't it be so great if Farmer*sWife was offering regular chances at free stuff?
So, tell me what you think.  I'm probably breaking into it the hard way.  And, I know that manufacturers will be more willing to help a Farm Gal out if I have a large readership over here.  But, I'm going to do what I do and go about it my way.  Never hurts to try, right?
So give me your thoughts.  Share with me products that you would like to hear more about, see a video of a hands on use or trial, and products that you've always wanted to try but don't want to spend the money -- for fear it might not live up to all it's potential.
So how's that for a big lump of new on a Hump-Day!
Happy Hump-diggity!!!!

Ever have that feeling????

Yeah,  I have that feeling today.  It's kind of like feeling really anxious, almost to the point that you feel stressed -- that almost worried about something stress -- but it's a good thing.  It's a good anxiety.  I don't know what it is yet though.  But....
I just feel something coming.  I was watching the Today Show this morning while dressing and painting my face into a new masterpiece and there were two "expert analysts" discussing the stock market.
One was an obvious Pessimist and the other was an obvious Optimist.  BOTH said exactly the same thing about all of it only one spun it down and one spun it up.  And, I felt informed but enlightened.
DOOM and GLOOM?  No Thank you.  People who preach that and bombard us with it ALL.DAY.LONG make us think the world is coming to an end.   Just because they all run scared crying wolf, doesn't mean the wolf is coming.  It might actually be a sheep -- in wolves clothing. Remember in the end, Chicken Little was worried about an apple.  Maybe it was the knot on his head that scrambled his thinking.
I mean, apples fall from the sky all the time.  So does bird poo, and while it's not the nicest thing to have happen to you, it's also not the end of the world.
Some say it comes like a whisper.  Well, the optimistic analyst on the news this morning made me smile.  She knew the facts.  She didn't sugar coat it.  Just looked at the glass from the bottom side up.
Then, I was checking out the PR on twitter for promoting Root & Sprout and Grow Together's community and I heard it louder!
I received a tweet from a tweeter like me.  He was sharing that today is Happy Day.  This is what he tweeted back to me:
@Glass_Half_Full we can help with that, just ask and the universe will deliver, promise #BHappy
Now, if that isn't speaking my language?  Am I right?
So.  I can feel it.  I'm not sure what it is, but it's good.  Something is coming.  Today, maybe?  I just feel it...inside me.  Y'all all know I believe that putting it out there with a positive spin allows it to boomerang back to you with increased positivity and inertia.
I can't wait.  I even sorted the socks!  Yes, Ma'am and Yes Sir!  I want to be ready.  And, I don't want the socks to get in my way.
I hope you have that feeling today. ;-)

OH NO! Look What Happened?

Remember this?  That Gary, the fabulous potter, made for me?
Here it is in finality -- AWESOME, huh?  Yep, and that baby holds an entire 4 cup carafe of coffee along with creamer and a dash of (artificial) sweetener.
Look what happened.....
This is my all time favorite mug EVAAAAAH!!!!! I have been extremely careful with it. Down to the cabinet and how I load it into the dishwasher. The children know they must back away from Momma's pretty mug.... The Hubster knows this too. *sigh* I did it.... :-( [tear drop falls to floor....I stop to wipe it up...] Gary??? Can I fix it???? Is there any way to save the Rith Masterpiece you made for me????? Monday's, right???
