Skinny Cows make skinny milk = Skinny Ice Cream

So, recently I received an envelope in the mail and it had a couple of vouchers for Free Skinny Cow Ice Cream products from Dreyers. Though, not a super ice cream fan myself -- I have grown to love the Dreyers Slow Churn because it is lower in fat and sugar -- but the kids and hubby don't feel like they are taste deprived.  Also, it always serves up like a 'soft serve' ice cream. Soft serve consistency and smoothness is a favorite within the Farmer*sWife household.  We are also a big fan of the dibs.  The Hubster loves the Nestle Crunch coated dibs and the kids love them because they are tiny, chocolate covered ice cream bites.  I like them because it's a very small and the kids are happy with two for dessert! :-D We chose the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches (another family favorite) which come in a package of 6 for $3.99.   One sandwich has: 120 calories and 2 grams of fat, while weighing in with 4 grams of fiber, 6% Vitamin A, 6% calcium and 2% iron.  The round sandwiches are a full and fair sized serving.  The ice cream is piled within the middle and is soft to the bite!
I mentioned to the Hubster that the kids gave this ice cream treat a Big Thumbs Up!  He knows as well as I do that if there is somethin' funky about it -- the kids will be sure to alert us.  So, upon hearing of their approval he immediately stated, "Where are those suckers 'cuz "I" wanna' try one."  He too was very pleased.  Said they were sweet and creamy!
FREE ICE CREAM!!  So, I was allowed to Tweet a giveaway for this product and The Queen DM'd and won it lickity split!  Then, she told me -- I won it so you could give some ice cream away at your place!  Sweet!
So, to win:
  1. 1 entry) Comment about your favorite ice cream
  2. 2 entries) Put my badge on your blog!  If you already have it, let me know and you still get credit.
  3. 2 entries) Send a friend to play!  Let them know to tell me you referred them. ;-)
  4. 5 entries) Visit Root & Sprout and tell me what your favorite article is and/or comment to an article (let me know ya' did!)
  5. 5 entries) Join Grow Together, the networking social site for Root & Sprout  -- where parents and kids grow together.
This GiveAway closes Friday, May 1st, 2009, at midnight!  I will need a way to link back to your site or contact you should you win.  I'll also announce it here at my blog!  Then, I'll need your address to mail you the voucher for 'your choice' of the skinny cow product you wish to try.
If you want to visit the website for nutritional and other information click here: Skinny Cow Ice Cream.  I know the proof is in the product!  Take it from the kids!
Happy Wednesday!

Oh . . . it's too hard to pick just one type of ice cream. I love mint chocolate chip (the green kind, not the white kind). I *love* chocolate raspberry truffle from Purity (that's a local ice cream) and vanilla Heath Bar crunch from Ben & Jerry's. I also really like Panda Paws. LOL! Basically, anything but plain vanilla or plain chocolate (although those are good with fresh blueberries and strawberries or crushed cereal on top).

Total ice cream fanatic! I'm not picky! :-)

I Guess "Fat Cow Ice Cream" would not sell as well. :-)

your kids are so funny! Those treats looked pretty good sized in their hands, you're right, it makes a good snack.
I have, as I have said, a dairy allergy and I love the soy ice cream and soy ice cream sandwiches and all, but you and your husband are probably making throwup sounds when I say that. :)
I was holding back on the badge, cause I am not a gal, but I am putting the badge up now. People outta be able to figure out im a glass half full gal who is really a guy. ;)

ProHomemaker made me LOL!

*sigh* Tillamook ice cream!! YUMMY!! (I'm from the PacNW)

Pralines'n'cream was always my favorite flavor, until I met up with a flavor called Candy Bar Classic. I can't remember the brand, but Oh.My!!

We like the Dreyers Slow Churn here, too. Seriously, only 2 Dibbs for dessert??

Skinny Cow chocolate/PB is pretty yummy, and I already warned you about eating more than one a day (although, after finding out about your Dibbs rationing, I think I don't have to worry about that at your house). The only thing that gets me about the Skinny Cow brand is the skinny cow. Seriously? Why would I want any kind of milk product from a cow that looked that emaciated? It sort of creeps me out. But the ice cream stuff is good.

kcinnova, two dibs or one cookie; we try to cut it back. But, on weekends and sometimes during the week they can have a bowl of slow churn, etc.

I save the bigger sweet treats for an afternoon snack when they can burn it off rather than sleepin' on it! LOL!

I know, we are pretty strict about the sweets before bed!

Being the chocoholic that I am I love any ice cream with lots of chocolate in it, not choc-chip, not enough chocolate for me. Love ice cream!

I have your button on my Giveaway blog and I have added this to it.

LOL, I just watched the video, but couldn't help but think of when they film commercials, and just after they yell "cut," the people spit the food out and say how horrible it is. :-)

Maybe Lil Gal can play Lucy and say, "It takes just like candy."

:-)

Too funny, ProHMKR but no spitting. They devoured them in about 14 seconds -- seriously, even as big as those sandwiches were!

I'm not entering the giveaway but just wanted to comment that I love their slow churned ice cream! I am an icecreamholic.
Also, thanks for stopping by my blog. I wanted to tell you that you should try going just 1 day without the laptop I actually found that part of it the most rewarding.
