I pray that [bleepin'] Ike goes West.
No wait, North would be better.
Then we wouldn't blow away from all the bad weather....
Should Ike fail me and let me down?
Then screw him and the weather -- I'm leavin' town!
Arkansas State, to my Daddy's, I'll go...
Though in the woods at Daddy's? Technology is slow.
I'll try to holler from the top of a tall pine,
or from the county road....
But more than likely? My bloggies won't hear much....
Until I'm allowed to return to my soggy, wet, home....
So hang safe, hang high and dry.
And, maybe say a little prayer that my castle survives?

OH MAN! I'll say a prayer for you alright!
I'm sending Ike mental messages to dissipate and disintegrate!
I've been watching the Weather Channel and trying to figure out how bad it will be for you.
And I've been thinking "nucking futs!" everytime I see that hurricane map.
We only had dust storms in El Paso. I suppose that didn't do the cotton a lot of good, either.
Well, fudge!
All my crossables are crossed...my prayers have been sent skywards...I'm still talking to Ike whenever I see him...btw...he doesn't listen very well!...but a trip to Arkansas doesn't sound too bad. heck...Jay's there ya know...and I'm right next door in Ok...Of course...Ike will be here too..but only with leftover rain and wind. Not the really destructive stuff.
Be sure and take Maxine k?
Cute poem btw. Ummm, is there anything you can't do? I doubt it. :)
Thanks y'all!!! Packing up the truck!!!
My positive thoughts and prayers are with you! I hope it misses your "castle" and you!
